Hello,
I need "specific" suggestions on a very warm and lightweight jacket for weather in the 20s. Please suggest brand and types. When I see the websites, I see many types of jackets/fleece out there.

Also, which websites and retailers carry these? I'm looking
to spend no more than $60.

I have a polar fleece jacket from Ross, but it's not as warm as it seems. It definitely is light though and I need something lightweight.

Thank you very much!

ok, the binding on my board for my backfoot will get loose at the screws ever once in a while. i have two theories why this might be. one the angle of my back foot isnt correct for my riding stance, and the second, not enough loc-tite on the screws. please help me!

I got Thule, Yakima, and Sportrack (which was bought by Thule). What are some others? I need to find one for a 2000 Ford Escort ZX2.

Anybody know anything about the Adaptive Skiing Program at Breckenridge CO? My girlfriend's child is legally blind and would love to try skiing. I've heard they have a program, but I don't know anything about it.

My one BIG thing on my christmas list is a winter jacket.
To be specific 'The North Face W Phoebe Jacket' for $199.00. My parents are NOT impressed with the price and they want me to find something cheaper. I am a sophomore in high school, I don't often ski or anything like that, but I do live in Minnesota where it snows, alot. So basically I'm looking for a stylish warm jacket, and I'm convinced the name brand 'North Face' is the way to go. Any other suggestions???

What is a good place to go skiing in southern ny state, the pocconos, or north jersey. Last time I went the begginers slope at mountain creek was way to steep even tho i never fell on the bunny hill. I am also not the biggest fans of ski lifts so what places have the magic carpets too. i want to go to a place with many novice and begginer slopes. Also who has the best tubing? thanks.

Obviously, you shouldn't get a down jacket wet, due to the fact that it will lose a large percent, if not all of it's heat retainment.

However, what about using a down jacket when skiing or snowboarding? Falling, and getting wet snow all over you is a big part of both sports. How would a down jacket hold up to wet snow?

I am 30 and been thinking for years about trying out snowboarding. Was thinking that this year is the year , but not sure how hard it is to snowboard. I 'm 6'3 with big feet ! LOL. know it is all about balance, but thinking is it worth the money and time to try it ? I skied once many , many , many years too once lesson and that was it , my ex at the time did not let us stay to go on the slopes , so never really tired that part . I was pretty decent on the ski's we'll for the hour we were one them. So snowboarding worth the money and time ?

I truly can't decide. Thoughts, anyone? Would be greatly appreciated.

I go snowboarding an average of 10 times a year. I have a crappy snowboard thats works for me and bindings that just broke (they were all plastic). I want new bindings, but I don't want to spend a fortune. However, I don't want junk that will break the 3rd time I use it (I don't do the terrain park thing...I just go down the hill.) I've heard bindings are better if they are made out of metal in the heel area...is this true? Anyway, any help in picking out a new pair of bindings would be appreciated....thanks!
