Hello,
I need "specific" suggestions on a very warm and lightweight jacket for weather in the 20s. Please suggest brand and types. When I see the websites, I see many types of jackets/fleece out there.

Also, which websites and retailers carry these? I'm looking
to spend no more than $60.

I have a polar fleece jacket from Ross, but it's not as warm as it seems. It definitely is light though and I need something lightweight.

Thank you very much!

With a budget of no more than $60, it's pretty difficult finding what your looking for within that price. I'd recommend you check Bargain Outfitter's selection of jackets. Here is the link:

They have a nice selection of jackets within your price limit.

Last Year I purchased a jacket from Eastern Mountain Sports made with Thermore insulation. I can't recall the specific model, but they have one again this year...they call it "The Bomber". It's $59. http://www.ems.com type "Bomber" in the search box.

I wore this thing almost every day when I was running lifts last winter. It's not waterproof, but it is warm enough that I could get by wearing just a light waterproof shell over the jacket when it was a sloppy snow day. It is also surprisingly windproof.

It is so warm that I often would sweat if I wore it while doing other jobs on the ski hill, like snowmaking or picking up the ski school students time-after-time when they fall down.

It is not as breathable as my Primaloft jacket and it is much warmer than my fleece jackets. It is also not bulky like down and even wet offers good insulation.

Surprisingly, the Thermore material has been on the market for years, but somehow never gets the hoopla that down and Primaloft does.

I found a number of other companies who use this material as well on shopping.com. Type in "Thermore Jackets" and it should give you two pages of stuff from about half a dozen companies.

I like the Columbia 3 and one jackets. What I use it has a insert for the jacket, but its great for fall winter and spring.

regrettably such issues are high priced, i as a golfer which will play golfing in moist climate if it started raining for the duration of my around yet no longer till now i began, i exploit mild weight, jacket and pants, goretex so it takes lots of the perspiration out. and you will layer.
