How big is your boot and where are you going to ride. Are you a knarly jibber? A down hill racer dude? A pipe jock? Flex, terrain, boot size.. This all determines what sort of board you should be riding.

Once we know that we can better help you

A few suggestions:

158 Rome Agent // http://www.romesnowboards.com/product/boards/agent/

This is a great all around board for the west coast. It’s a bit stiffer then your standard noodle of a park board, but is still super fun for riders to do buttery fun stuff on. But, this board is a little expensive for a rider only gets to tear it up once a year.

159 Rome Crail // http://www.romesnowboards.com/product/boards/crail/

If you are looking for something to have fun on but still be able to tear up the pipe. This is a decent board. For $320 you can’t go wrong. Perfect for riding once at Bear or Mtn High.

158 Capita Indoor Survival // http://www.capitasnowboarding.com/

Such a fun board. Good flex and pop for hitting kickers and tearing up boxes on the west coast. This board won the Transworld Good Wood seal of approval for 2008.

158 Forum Grudge // http://www.forumsnowboards.com/default.aspx#p=6&cID=36&pID=570

I love the flex on this board. This would be fun for you in pipe, park, jumps… I think this board would do it all for you. Super plain graphics and this board also won Transworld Good Wood.

There are sooo many good boards out there. These are just a few that came to mind. If you are interested in any of these feel free to hit me up with questions. I could tell you alot more about each deck, but I’ll stop here

My stepfather is 6’1 200lbs with a 14 boot. I recent put him on a 158 Rome Machine and he loves it! The Machine is a very wide board so this would not work for you. I am very familiar with park boards your size.

Typically park rider like riding true twin shaped boards. Based on what you are saying, unless you plan on throwing cab 5's, I think a true twin shape isn't necessary.

It really depends more on your weight and what type of riding you are going to do (park / freeride / all mountain). Try this snowboard size calculator - it also gives some really good recommendations on what boards would suit your riding style:

A rough guess not knowing your weight would be 161cm - maybe a little shorter board with less offset if you are going to be riding in the park.

Good Luck
