I may not know much about snowboards (as you well know) but I know where to get winter sports equipment. Buy it online. Most online stores offer discounts on items that they make. They ussually offer free shipping for buyers that pay a certin amount. You may need a PayPal or a credit card account though. Ask your dad. He night agree with me that online banking with PayPal is a good way to learn how to manage money. Or you could check Ebay. they have just about everything.

There are a lot of cheap bindings out there, but the problem with them is they can't stand up to the abuse from actually using them. Most have cheap plastic buckles and cheap hardware. Many of these will break the very first season and they are difficult to get parts for.

It really is worth the extra money to get a quality binding - look for the lower end Ride bindings (SPI or the EX models) - they will cost a little more but will last many times longer and be worth real money if you ever need to sell them used (like outgrowing them)

Good Luck
