ok, what this question is of what one of those beatles guys said, hes name i think was paul mccartney, anyways he said that newfoundlanders should stop clubbing seals just for their skins and that is all they kill those animals for.
plus he said that northern inuit should stop hunting them as well, with that being said, the inuit don't just kill those animals just for the sake of the skin, infact they have been hunting those animals for thousands of years and it was and still is one of the vital animals they hunt throughout the winter.

so what do you think of this???

I have experience with the '06, but not with the 300 win or weatherby mag. I am a bigger guy, so I think i can handle a magnum, but I am mostly concerned about getting "scoped". I did not have this problem with the '06 and i have some ammo left over collecting dust, but the mags are very tempting. I also know that there is a rubber guard that you can put on your scope to prevent getting cut, but it still does not sound like fun to me. Does this only happen in certain shooting positions? Is it much more likely with the weatherby mag than it is with the win mag. I like the idea of getting a weatherby rifle in the weatherby caliber. '06 would be more economical, but you only live once, right! Any thoughts on the quality of this rifle would be appreciated as well. Oh...I am buying it to hunt elk with...I use a 6.5x55mm for deer.

Are NYS gun laws being enforced because i go to the range and see alot of people with so called assult rifles with 30 round mags. And apparently assult rifles with 30 round mags are against the law.

ok, i am looking into getting a kentucky long rifle kit. you know like the ones they used in the 1700's. does anyone know where i could get one, and i also need to know the price range they come in. i dont want to just buy an antuqe one of these, 1 because they are a ton more money, and 2 i want to make my own. if there are any kits that let you make one that is useable (shootable) that would be great. real answeres only please, thanks!

I have a Browning BLR 7mm 08 lightweight with a leupold VX-L and it shoots great. I have had it only 1 week and have brought home two deers, one shot in the neck and the other a great double lung shot. My question is the hammer is not very easy to get to under the scope, especially when my heart is racing. Browning does not recommend an extender so I thought I would see if anyone has one on theirs. My husband has one on his Marlin model 336 .35 caliber lever action. Does anyone know why Browning would say this????

What is your favorite knife? I am looking for both folders and fixed blades. A friend and I sell knifes and swords at gun shows, business has been good, and we are looking at picking up new lines.

Please note; while I think this IS one awesome firearm, I do not suggest it for hunting. And as others will tell you machineguns require special tax stamp licensing.
But I think it would be just the thing for law enforcement use and for those darn coyotes killing your calves or chickens. A ranchers best friend! :p
Your opinion of this firearm please.

I have all my rifles sitting under my bed in unzipped soft cases or gun socks. I know that unless you buy a fancy kind of moisture-preventing soft case, zipping a gun in there can cause brutal rust, especially in humid climates like where I live.

Does anyone know of a hard (aluminum, plastic) gun case that I can store my rifles in that will repel moisture and won't cause rust? I'm tired of all these darn soft cases and gun socks sitting around.

Thanks, y'all.

P.S. - I'm going this weekend to buy my first hunting rifle. I'm stoked!

Any suggestions for a good holster for a S&W 686 w/ 4" barrel? Not so much for CCW, but to keep it from being exposed to the elements.
