Could anyone please comment on the differences between a 9mm, .40 and .40 S&W handgun in terms of:

1. Power
2. Recoil
3. Price of ammunition?

Also, I'm interested in any thoughts about the benefits or drawbacks of the Beretta PX4 (my understanding is that it can shoot both 9 mm and .40 S&W cartridges--is this correct?) vs a standard 9 mm or .40 S&W.

Thanks.

obviously price range is not an issue for me.I'm in a cross between these pistols. I've done my research but still cant decide so i'm mainly looking for ppl with experience with each one. What are the ups and downs of each one? Which one would you reccomend for carry. Weight and size is also not an issue for me. I'm also open to new suggestions.

I have a Magtech 7022 .22 Semi-Automatic Rifle and I was wondering how do you decock the pin on the magtech 7022 when it isn't loaded without pulling the trigger and dry-firing it? Thanks for the help.

I'm looking to find the cheapest 9mm ammunition for range/target practice. I can get 100 for $15.76 at Wal-Mart but would like to find ammo even cheaper. Also, is reloading even worth looking into for 9mm? If so, how much per bullet can you reload for?

My friend owns a Nazi Luger taken from an officer who was killed by a his grandfather, a sniper. It is in very good to excellent condition. I know they are worth quite a bit, but I'm wondering if anyone who is familiar with the value of these guns could give me a better ballpark.

Admittedly not so much a question as a bit of crowing...my husband, on his very first hunt ever, took a 58.75 in moose!! Not only is our freezer going to be full, but that's a trophy to boot. I hope he has as much luck getting a Dall Sheep!

What's your favorite game, and how do you like it cooked? I love ground moose in anything. Makes the best chili, enchiladas, meatloaf, burgers.....

I was wondering if coyotes are generally safe to eat from diseases. I know people normally don't eat them but if I'm going to be taking care of the ones on my property I thought I might try one. Has anybody actually tried it and not liked it? Or is it just getting over the "wild dog" part?

I was doing some investigating on that caliber just for the hell of it, and it doesn't seem like it is too bad of a caliber. Though, I was reading an article, and by fact, it is considered a cartridge we can live without. Anyway, how do you like it's performance, and what animals have you killed with it?

what are the anti hunters going to do when the money to help out the mantanance of animals starts coming out of there own pockets?and who are they going to elect to kill the mass of over populated herds that will eventually erupt?my sugestion to them is to go out and purchase a hunting licence and dont hunt at least then they may have some validity in there ignorance.
hunters pay on average fifty to a thousand dollars to hunt something that they may never even see and thats not counting the revenue from spoting goods and campsights

I would like to convert my Mak 9x18 to .38ACP.
My indoor range is running out of it and one can only use their stuff.
I went to Makarov.com and read the info about the barrel but cannot get any about the magazine the ejector etc etc etc.
Can one use the 9x18 mag for .38acp rounds does one have to change the ejector ,firing pin.
Any one out there know.

Hi.

Id like to ask if anyone could possible tell me the value of a certain antique weapon.

It it a Smith and Wesson 38. Secret Service Special Revolver.

Barrel is approx 3 inches long and has a 6 digit serial number on the stock. Item is worn and a bit rusted but it seems to be surface rust.

I'm looking for its basic value as well as perhaps some links as to where i could sell it for a reasonable price. Any info would be appreciated!
