I have a Magtech 7022 .22 Semi-Automatic Rifle and I was wondering how do you decock the pin on the magtech 7022 when it isn't loaded without pulling the trigger and dry-firing it? Thanks for the help.

I don't know about your brand, but some you could hold the trigger down while closing the bolt and the hammer would not cock. If it uses a catch on the bottom of the bolt for cocking, that will work, but some use the rotation of the bolt after closing and it will not work on them.
That being said, you will not own the rifle long enough to harm it by decocking with the trigger, unless you do it repeatedly time after time.

terrific? Who is universal with? Ruger 10/22 and Marlin 60 are the only/2 terrific sellers... I had a Winchester a hundred ninety that would save up with the two for function and accuracy. Remington, Mossberg, Browning and others make very sturdy semi vehicle 22's... you will hit upon all new or used and that i could be happy to possess any of them. Any 22 long rifle ought to artwork as you propose right here... and there are lots of of mid-priced 4x scopes which would be appropritate on a 22 rimfire rife...I won't even attempt to record them right here.

As a Gunsmith, I can tell you there is no way to decock the firing pin without dry firing the gun while it is unloaded/empty. The design allows for the firing pin and spring to be stored for long periods in "****** mode" without harm to the firing pin, spring or gun itself.

You can get either a 22lr snap cap to place in the chamber and then pull the trigger or keep a fired 22lr case handy and place it in the chamber and pull the trigger. Either one will buffer the fall of the firing pin and keep it from peening the chamber.

Why? Dry firing once won't hunt your gun, nor will dry firing twice... or three times. You can dry fire without hurting your gun as long as you don't sit around and do it all day for fun.
