He used a two-liter soft drink bottle with a hole in the bottom. No mention is made of how he would have aimed on a very long shot with the thing in the way, but as others have pointed out, that isn't the only spot where there was a lack of attention to detail. I suppose that sort of thing is to be expected when the script is so far removed from the book. If you haven't read the series about Bob Lee, or the one about his father, they make for good reading, especially for gun nuts.

Hmmmm........a science fair project based on a movie :
could work.
How will you demonstrate your suppressor in the school?
They sorta frown on guns there...

by the way- the reason Mark had to hand cycle the Barrett
was because the blanks he was using would not operate the unmodified rifle.

He used a plastic soda bottle, they have very high tensile strength, which water bottles don't.

Not a bad film, except that he kept hand cycling his semi auto M82A1 after we clearly saw it cycle itself. Later he did it again with the M16.

Im pretty sure he used a water bottle, im about 95% sure because i saw it a while ago. My guess to how he attached it would be a rubber band or tape, otherwise i have no idea

P.S. pretty good movie btw
