I have never head of one. Polymer frames are becoming more common and they are like plastic. I don't think an all plastic gun is possible because it would hvae to hold very high pressure contained by the chamber, barrel and bolt. I don't think the technology is there yet.

They are getting closer but no such thing exists yet, if it does it hasn't been made public. They have some that use more plastic than you would think possible but they all use some steel or other metals. The biggest problems with plastic guns is making a plastic barrel and making it heavy enough that it doesn't recoil uncontrollably.

It has been done. There was a double barreled side by side rimfire plastic gun. It had external plastic strikers and a very simple trigger mechanism. It was made for assassination, I have no idea if it was ever used. Good modern plastics can hold the pressure of a 22lr, that's what it used.

here in the philippines, a guy was caught transforming toy plastic guns into deadly weapons, he customized the guns to enable them to fire real bullets. he explained that the guns would work but will breakdown after a few shots. ofcourse its not all plastic, the barrel and other parts should be some kinda metal but most parts were cheap plastic.

My Walther P22 is 1/2 plastic. (frame). Carbon fiber might be strong enough to make a gun out of. But it might not be considered plastic.

The five-seven is the closest thing ive seen to being plastic. The slide and frame were pretty much plastic.

Sure there is!!
It shoots water.
Closest I know about is an all ceramic pistol, a single-shot IIRC, made by one of the secret intel outfits. They cooked it up for use by assassins during the Cold War. Even that special weapon was not X-Ray invisible like the boobs and gungrabbers try to claim about Glocks and other polymer framed handguns.

there isn't and i dont think there will ever be. The firing pin and barrel still need to be strong enough. i guess they could be plastic but only for like 2 shots...

You mean plastic guns that go through metal detectors undetected and still kill? Sure. They're alive and well in... Hollywood.
Best.

When I worked at homeland security we had a picture of a bootleg all plastic gun. It holds 4 shots and I think it was a one or two inch barrel. i don't remember much else.
