Now that I've learned hunting in India is illegal can anyone recall any unusual hunts where people were protected?
Want to understand the problems possibly unique to India
where threats to human life have been addressed. Are there
odd stories or unusually brave animal experts?

In other words, if I pointed a gun directly at something in front of me, such as a coin on a desk, and pulled the trigger, would the bullet hit the coin, or do I have to compensate for the kick and aim lower than where the coin is?

I mean, they classify a gun an assault weapon based solely on physical appearence. I could take a kenetucky long rifle, add a folding stock and a pistol grip and it's suddenly an assault rifle. Or I could do the same thing with a blunderbuss and its an assault weapon. Why does anyone use these definitions for anything, they're pointless and horribly flawed.

Rifles

Folding/telescoping stock
Protruding pistol grip
Bayonet mount
Threaded muzzle or flash suppressor
Grenade launcher
------------------------------------------
Pistols

Magazine outside grip
Threaded muzzle
Barrel shroud
Unloaded weight of 50 ounces or more
Semi-automatic version of a fully automatic weapon
---------------------------------------------------------
Shotguns

Folding/telescoping stock
Protruding pistol grip
Detachable magazine capacity
Fixed magazine capacity greater than 5 rounds

I am a sucessfull archery hunter but drew a doe tag this year and will likley take my son on his first hunt. I have seen many doe while hunting bucks but I am curious about stratigy. I think I should be able to spot and stalk fairly easy, but would like to take my 10yo son. Is spot and stock my best bet? Do does respond to calls? any advice?

I have a self defense Mossberg 500, cylinder bore, 18.5" barrel. I'd hate to buy a new shotgun just for my first season hunting, and a new barrel costs as much as a new .22, which I could just as easily use for squirrel hunting. With the right load, could I use this shotgun for squirrel hunting, or am I better off finding a longer barrel shotgun with interchangeable chokes?

I have a HK SL8-1 which comes with factory 10rd Mags, and that's all I can find anywhere. I do not want to convert to a G36. SL8-1's only use a single stack Mag, not double stack like the AR-15 or the G36. Is there anyone who can make a higher capacity single stack SL8-1 mag?

This is a stupid question but I'm having a hell of a time popping my ammo cans open with the opener that came with them. It's not the type that uses a key, just the opener. Can anyone help me out before I have to bust out the tools? Thanks in advance!

I live in Michigan below the rifle line which means we have to use shotgun. We are planning a hunting trip in Wisconsin where rifles are allowed. I was thinking about using my AR-15 with a scope and a 5 round hunting clip I bought. Is .223 strong enough to kill deer? Have anyone used it with success? I figure if the military uses it against people it should probably be good enought to get deer too, or is this logic flawed? Bonus for personal expierence.
