Now that I've learned hunting in India is illegal can anyone recall any unusual hunts where people were protected?
Want to understand the problems possibly unique to India
where threats to human life have been addressed. Are there
odd stories or unusually brave animal experts?

Dude! Your in Asia what do you expect. I have hunted in the Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia where not only hunting is illegal so are firearms. THere is more than one way to skin a cat so to speak. For Example In Thailand we organised a dummy security company to licence our shotguns and then after a year of bribary to the military and local police where we hunted we finally organised some shoots. I ended up paying off our Military guides that escorted us with Johny Wlaker every time. It was great but in the areas that were controled by rebels of course the rebels wanted to get there hands on our guns and ammunition.

Another story is a good friend of mine in the Philippines got killed in the crossfire of an ambush. Our hunting friend jumped in the police jeep to go to the area when the local communist gurrilas shot them all dead.

But hey, after living in America and seeing the dorks hunt whitetail covered in fox urine out of a tree in their Wal Mart camoflauge, I will risk it over here and hunt where the few good adventures still exist.

I have hunted in Pakistan and Afghanistan but not India, Drop me a mail and tell me more

There's no problem finding this sort of story and it's not worth typing a long answer to that effect. There's even video on Youtube of a guy involved in hunting a man eating tiger (generally a tiger will only turn to humans as prey when it is infirm and can't hunt bigger game) who fended it off as it was trying to kill them after being fatally shot. Rogue elephants are easy to find too. Just do google searches for "rogue elephant" and "man eater" with tiger and you'll find the stories. Here's a couple to get you started.

i comprehend, this is not honest, maximum of those assaults on Indians have been accomplished via Indians, yet, we continually see the Indian media on our media asserting 'the government desires to handle their human beings'. we are actually not a freaking dumping floor for undesirable human beings.

Look it up on Google.

I know someone who bagged an elephant on a Safari because the elephant was charging.
