I just thought about this and want to get some input. Lets you are out hunting and you hit your target, but only wound the animal enough to drop it. The animal is still alive and seems to be in pain, or you dotn want to have to wait for it to slowly die. Do you bring a pistol hunting in case you need to finish game off? Or so you have any other method of doing it? Or do you just let it die on its own?

I threaded my SKS barrel to screw on a muzzle flash. What can I use to put on the threads before I tighten down my muzzle flash so it want fall off the barrel. I even thought of useing super glue but wasn't sure what would happen after 300-400 rounds was shot, probably melt off.

A friend of mine kind of warned me against buying an already assembled AR-15 from colt or armalite. He said if I buy the parts and put it together it will be a lot cheaper. Ive been looking at a site (www.brownells.com) for all the parts. Besides someone with an FFL to get the lower reciever, what else would i need besides the upper reciever, barrel, stock, trigger assembly if it doesnt come with the lower reciever??

How many people do not realize that the friction of the bullet sliding against the barrel is greater than that of the "air pressure" outside the barrel and that the "air pressure" inside the barrel IS the same or MAY be greater than that of the "air pressure" outside of the barrel when constrained by the walls of the barrel and by the force of a rapidly moving bullet?

I fired my rifle for the first time, and afterwords i noticed a small bloody chunk of skin on the scope, and blood was dripping from my forhead. I realized what I had done wrong, I had my face too close to the scope, and didnt have my cheek firmly on the butt, so when i fired and the rifle recoiled, my head didnt move with the gun, and was hit with the scope. The cop I was shootign with said that the same thing happened to him his first time, and it is a common mistake with first tiem shooters. Has anyone else ever had this happen? And are there any other rookie mistakes i should know of so i do not make them?

I have always wondered why people go through such lengths to conceal themselves and then wear the orange clothing. I know it is for safety, but doesnt it make them more visible to the game?
Or are deer unable to see the bright yellow? Also, is ti better to wear an orange hat, or vest or what?

I have a .410 shotgun that I have only been firing birdshot through. It is a smooth bore barrel and was wondering if it would be ok if I fired buckshot through it.

I just got my airsoft CO2 Sigma in the mail today. In the manual it says that the slide should lock when ammo runs out, but it does not. It just keeps firing when I pull the trigger even when there are no bb's in it. I need it to lock so I know when it is out because it is bad to dry-fire it. Any Ideas to fix? Thanks
