I have a .410 shotgun that I have only been firing birdshot through. It is a smooth bore barrel and was wondering if it would be ok if I fired buckshot through it.

Simple answer yes.
You should also be able to fire slugs too. If your barrel has a fixed full choke you may not want to fire the slugs.

The barrel doesn't care what size the pellets are. However, you'll have a bit of trouble finding .410 buckshot shells.
