It is supposed to be pharamones or something... it comes in a spray bottle and several kinds - crappie and panfish, bass, walleye... etc. Does this stuff really work?

I caught a king salmon in the ocean. I froze half of it in vacuum-sealed packing with the intent of eating it raw like sashimi. I heard that sashimi has been flash-frozen to kill all the parasites. Will the regular freezing do the same thing?

Fishing can't be all bad. There's more 50+ fishermen in "good health" than Bowler's or Golfer's ,(in my opinion)!

I think being in the Outdoors keeps you young,(except when your fishing on a boat with a 4YR old, a 12 YR old, & a 15 YR old. THAT makes you feel OLDDDDD! LMAO).

Heck, Jesus liked to fish and make water into wine! Def a guy I wouldn't mind having around after "weigh-in"! (teasin') (Don't everyone "freak"! God/Jesus has a sense of humor too! Look at the platypuss! lol)

My idea of "church" is going fishing and admiring "HIS" work. I'll bet 75% of the worlds problem's would be eliminated if we all went fishing, then had a "World Wide Fish Fry" instead of going to "church" every Sunday! Nothing "bad" seems to ever happen at fish fry's!

Do you agree?

(now if I could just convince my wife of this theory!) lol

The last time, (last year), I went "Brookie" fishing I noticed an older gentelmen,(bait-fisherman), with a HUGE stringer of Brook trout. I didn't count them , but there were many.

He didn't seem to be a "poacher" but ,(in my mind), keeping a stringer full of Brookies is a SIN! (lol) (I could see taking maybe 1-3 , but 8+ blasphomy, lol!!!).

Would you report someone who you saw "poaching" deliberate/or not? Or would you let "sleeping dogs" lie?

What if he/she looks to be poor/homeless?

Anyone try cutting up bluefish bait and use it in the piers? I fish in an inlet off the Atlantic Coast, haven't tried cutting a bluefish yet however was thinking about it for my trip during August. There should be a load of bluefish out there and hopefully my kastmaster will succeed. =] thanks.

Whats the BEST way to cut Bunker? I want to go fishing and want to know before I go next time. I always take bunker but for some reason my technique for cutting it is no good. The bunker just gets slimy and doesn't stay on the hook. What am I doing wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm using a ring net at Pacifica Pier fishing for crab. What is the best bait? I am currently using the tentacles of a squid and a salmon head as bait. I've used that bait for about 2 days from now. Is the scent gone or does the scent increase with every use? Also, what is the best bait COMBINATION. I know chicken is widely popular, but what can be combined with that to make it even more powerful?

I got a new ABU GARCIA 2005 low profile baitcast reel and it says I should oil and grease it up after each use. It appears I have to take the whole thing apart to do this and anyone with a baitcaster knows there's tons of parts that go into these things. I'm a little afraid to take it all apart to just oil it and then put it back together wrong. The exploded parts picture that they gave with the reel isn't the clearest thing in the world. So I'm just wondering what the best way to oil and grease my reel is. I believe it needs a good one because after a couple hours of use it screeched at me a couple of times I did put oil on the outside of it, it helped a little bit. Also my reel seems to cast really well for awhile and then all of a sudden I can't throw my bait anywhere near how far I was throwing it and then after awhile it will rocket the lures again. Is that just an oil problem? Also, if there isn't an easy way to do it how do I oil it up? take it to someone and how much?

I just recently moved to the Jersey Shore (Asbury Park Area) and am really interested in fishing. I've only fished for bass and lake perch on Lake Erie in the past, so I have no idea where to start or what bait to use. Thanks for the help!
