anyone have advice for a good time of year?? how long does the crabs take to get larger?is aug better? time of day? weather? high or low tide..
i have a good place to go...just lookin or the extras... thanks

August is usually a notch better than July. I usually find the bigger crabs in canals or shallower water regardless of time of day or tide.

when i went crabbing with my uncle in San Fransisco, we caught some big ones, the day was in late June about 20-21, the time was between 12-5 in the afternoon, the bait that we used were chicken bones that we laid in a flat round net that had a place in the middle to but the bones. well hoped that helped
