Full moons tend to increase tides and currents, so in general the fish will bite a bit better. I've noticed it with white seabass and bluefin tuna, other people have claimed the full moon helps the albacore bite... but I've made plenty of good catches when the moon wasn't anywhere near full, and had lousy days when it was full. I haven't noticed any difference with yellowtail or barracuda, though.
In short, the moon phase is just one of many factors. Offhand, I'd rate water temperature and whether it's changed recently as more important; other factors would be the water clarity, the current, the presence of bait, and probably a dozen other things. Oh, yes -- the presence of competition. Weekdays are better due to the lack of other boats in the water.
So if you have a choice of during a full moon or not, all other things seeming equal, go during the full moon. But don't blame me if you get skunked anyway.

Phil V answered well.
Usually, 3-4 days before and 3-4 days AFTER a full Moon is best. But, like any type of fishing, there may be circumstances that cause a full Moon to be excellent.
Snook fishing and Speckled Trout fishing can be good during full Moon phase. Tarpon fishing under bridges can be good during full Moon phase.
Try it out! If you are like me, you have to go fishing when you "can", not at the "optimum time".
Good luck!

Four Days before and After a full moon is the best time to fish you will have a late morning bite! They feed most of the night so that brings on a late bite. Have fun!
