I shot the 303 today at a target about 3 1/2 feet by 3 1/2 feet at over 100 yards and missed it 6 times. I was using the pop-up site which I obviously don't know how to use. Yeah- have some left over 30 06 rounds but no 30 06 gun to shoot em. And just for kicks- I wonder about how much you could sell this old time antique 303 British gun for? Happy shooting.

I want to get into the sport of hunting. I have a couple friends who are newly involved and having a lot of fun.

I was considering a .308 bc it seems to be most versatile, but I'm not quite sure about which rifle I actually want. Any suggestions?

I have a Famous Maker Model HT2510T Tactical Scope which I believe is for RIfle. I would like to use it for shooting slugs from a rifled barrel shotgun. Is this a problem?

Obviously, a clean chest shot to the vitals takes very little time. But what about a neck or leg shot?

1.) How effective is the hunting ban?
2.) Is there any evidence to suggest that some hunts bred foxes to be released so that they could hunt them later on?
3.) Is there any evidence for the use of nail bombs and other such devices by Hunt Saboteurs?
4.) What threat is the fox to farmers in the modern age?

That's all, thank you.

Okay so say a gunman is shooting at you from say 600 yards
and it was a headshot , obvisoly you would be killed , BUT would you hear the gunshot before you were killed ?? as i know bullets can travel up to 4000 fps which is much faster than sound at 1080 fps , But i also know that they slow down rapidly .

so can anyone please answer my question thanks.. ;)

Alright, here it goes again. It may be hard to find but... Are there any upcoming hunter saftey classes (as soon as possible) that I can take in Michigan? I live in Macomb or by the SE corner of the thumb. Anyone able to give me a good place or website/list of classes? I called around but the either didn't have one until Spring or didnt offer them at all. Thanks.

Just purchased my first Ishapore and I am new to Enfield’s all together. Can anyone point the way on how to insert the bolt in the rifle? I have gotten it past the trigger. Then it seems you need to twist the tip of the bolt towards the right to slip it in. At first it wouldn’t move right as it was hitting the receiver. I then realized that you can unscrew the tip a bit and after a few twists it moved right and snapped into place. The bolt will not move forward from this point.

It’s probably a piece of cake but I didn’t want to force anything and possibly breaking something. Can anyone explain how to get it in or send me a link as to where I can see a step by step?

Also, the black paint is flaking off so I’m thinking of taking it all off and refinishing it. Have anyone had any experience with this? What do you recommend?

Thanks.

If the only gun you own is a .223 rifle, and you need to go hunting for food, would it be able to kill a big deer or pig with one shot to the body. I do not mean kill them dead on the spot, but would the wound kill them within the hour, so you could just follow the blood and find the animal dead. I was think from a distance of 200 yards.

It is in pretty good condition. It has a scope mounted on it and I don't know if the scope mount was an original item or not. The number is #90649 and if I've done my research correctly, I believe that it was manufactured June 1923. I don't know much about gun values and I can't see buying the blue book to get the value of one gun.
