Para-Ordnance P-18, 18+1, stainless. A beautiful .9mm 1911.

Without a doubt the Sig-Sauer P226. The best looking 9mm guns of the whole lot are all single stack (Sig P210, S&W 952, S&W 3906, S&W 952, and even the 1911 in 9mm). But as noted by another poster, you don't buy a gun for the looks (or at least make appearances out to be the most important thing). But you asked a question for what it was worth and I gave you an answer. I will add that the Highpower beats the 226 in appearance, but it is only a 13-shot pistol.

The VP70?? You must be joking on that one. Butt-ugly.

Alex, aesthetics is merely a matter of personal taste. I just happen to like the look of the ugly, blocky Glock. It is a fine service weapon and I've had bad-guys tell me when I have to arrest them at gun point with my first generation Glock Model 20 10mm: "...that's the biggest, ugliest, baddest gun I have EVER seen..." I love that, so my Glock becomes beautiful to me.

One of the nicest looking nines is the Browning Hi-Power, P-35 particularly the ones with the tangent rear sights. This one is just shy of your 15 round requirement, though as is the handsome 1911 also available in 9mm. I don't know what to tell you? Consider also the Beretta 92 series which is high cap and nice looking, too.

Best.

I would agree with D, the Para p18 is a nice looking piece with more than 15 rounds of 9mm ammo.

If you are looking for best looking, Glock and Ruger are out of the picture, but guaranteed to shoot when you need or want them to.
I like the Springfield Armory XD Series. It comes with 16 round mags, as reliable as Glocks (better looking) but with better safety features. They are better fitting to my hand and have a better natural point to them. I purchased two of them.
I also do not mind the Beretta Px4 Storm (17rnd). I had one of them but traded it in to get into the revolver category.
A friend of mine has a Taurus PT24/7 in 9mm that is pretty nice. (16 round I think).

Good luck Hope that helps....

PS do not go with any Smith and Wesson semi-autos...nothing but bad luck with them...

Someone else on yahoo answers asked a similar question the other day. It was more based on why you don't see many pimp guns with shiny polished coatings nowadays. One good reason is because a shiny coatings are a dead give away in the black of night for one's location.
One good answer I seen was that many gunsmiths can take any gun and pimp it out for very resonable price. Then it comes down to just choosing a shape you really like and like you said, you want more than 15 rd....
It's not what you want, but Magnium Research has a .44 dessart eagle that is pimped out from factory. It screams suck my barrel.

you do not buy a gun for the looks. you buy a gun for the dependability.i carried a glock in my career.ugly gun but extremely dependable.the only problem i had is that i could never shoot a tight group.i shot expert for 25 years.after i retired a guy traded a springfield 1911-a1 loaded model.i have never shot a gun so accurate.i had not fired a gun in 6 years when i went to the range.i fired 60 rounds and shot 100 out of a possible 100.i had 57 out of 60 in the bullseye.the loaded model is their gun with everything on it.all the stuff used to have to be customized and put on the gun.now it comes already on it.my old glock was a 40cal,model 22.i just wanted a larger bullet with more knockdown.these springfields are now out with a 6" barrel/looks like a golf club.
if you just get a gun for plunking then it dies not matter what you get.if you get a gun just for looks you have no idea what you are getting.my dad always said,"take care of a gun and the gun will take care of you".

By looks only....I agree with Big D. Very sharp looking firearm. Of course you'll pay for it. Beretta 92s or Taurus PT92s look nice when you buy the stainless. Berettas about 700-750 give or take depending on location and 400-500 for the Taurus.

That's a personal taste question, though the 15 rounds rules out John Browning's best pistol (the 13 round High Power).

Since you only asked for the nest looking, I'm going with the H&K VP70Z. 18 rounds and burst fire with the stock, so very hard to obtain at best, but it does look good.

it's just a matter of taste. Personally, I hate 9mm. You might want to check out the following companies:
Glock
Springfield (XD)
Sig Sauer
H&K
Walther
Taurus
