I was looking at a marlin model 60 .22lr and a Marlin 983T which is better for possom, raccoon, muskrat, fox. Shots will be 0-60 yards. Is .22 mag ammo normally in stock at walmart?

I've long wanted a snaphance locked musket. I've seen several original Dutch model locks inside and out, but never when I can photogragh and measure. Winter is coming on and this should be a challenging project. It will be challenging enough with directions. I'll do it without if I must, but it'll take longer.

I will be going to Kansas for a pheasant hunting trip. I have never been before. I know #5 shot is the right shot size but what length shell do I need, 2 3/4" or 3" ? I will be using a 12ga. Also, any specific brand of shell recommended?

Between a FMJ .50 bmg and a .monolithic .58 Nayaita, which one would penetrate more metal/cars? I think the Nayiata has 10,00 ft. lbs. of energy and the bmg 12,00, but the nayiata has the advantage of being a monolithic solid bullet, what do you think?

Could a FMJ round from a .50 bmg round penetrate the armor of a MODERN (i know it can shred older ones) light armored vehicle like the military uses today?
I saw a few at an airshow and the armor looked like about half an inch of rolled steel, i don't think it could stop one, do you?

I am currently looking for a good/nice shotgun to purchase. I live in California and I already know the california gun laws are strict as it already is. I am trying to look for a tactical shotgun (not a hunting), OR a shotgun that is good for self defense. I was really interested in buying a benelli m4 but that is military issue and I doubt that california citizens will not be able to purchase them. I was also thinking about the mossberg or the remington 870. Can anybody suggest on what other good shotguns there are to buy in the state of california that are tactical w/ a price range of 500 or under. Thank you.

I deer hunt. Now some of you people don't agree with it. I don't care. Don't write anything bad about hunting. I can sit for 2 hours but after that i jus fade out and want to leave the stand and i eventually do get out of the stand a few minutes later. What can i do to sit longer?

The shells, I mean, are they made of copper?

I plan to purchase on of these. I would greatly appreciate advice and comparisons between them.

I would like one compact enough for concealed carry, so I think this would probably rule out the 21? Also, how do the G30 and Springfield XD Compact compare in size?

Thanks.

If you had to defend yourself against several armed people what kind of shotgun would you want to have?

This is a research question for a book. I am not a gun owner and don't know anything about them.

I am a data analyst who carries an assisted opening kershaw that I use for opening chip bags and squirrels. I bought a few 5.11 shirts and pants today yet I haven't been to a practical competition in over a month and half. I own 20 30 round ar-15 mags and enough ammo to start a small war. I do go shooting about once a week but it seems like a spend more time posting comments here. The only thing I can think that redeems me is I haven't bought a huge fanny pack or a 5.11 shoot me first vest.

Can anyone tell me what kind of pellet they would reccommend to kill a raccoon at 10-20 yards with a RWS 48 (.22). I am going to test out the pellets to see which one works well with the gun by buying the pellet sampler from SS but I also want to just buy one tin of pellets to shoot around with also. If someone here owns or owned a 48 in .22 and can help me from personal experience I would appreciate that as well.
