Unfortunately, since service grade production by Springfield ceased after #1442476, you're not dealing with an original rifle. However, your rifle's receiver was serialized in early 1942 by Remington. It could be up to about $2000 in excellent condition, but depending on the what model it is, and on original bluing/parkerizing and mismatched numbers, it may be as low as $250. If you look under the serial number, and see a small 'o', you might have a truly interesting rifle, and of course, interesting rifles are worth more.

It depends on wether you have a 1903A1 Springfield or a 1903A3 Springfield. There is a difference in the rifles and as a result ,the values. Additional information is needed to determine which rifle you do in fact have, and it's overall condition needs to be known in order to give you a "legitimate" value.....

NOTE* There is no such thing as a "non-original" Springfield Rifle. They were only produced by Springfield,Remington & Rock Island Arsenal.....
