i have heard a lot about the .30/06 and everyone says its a great gun. i would use it for deer only. i live where it is a mixed landscape. parts of where i live are thick woods, but there are also a lot of open cornfields that i hunt on. lots of people have recommended a .270 winchester to me too, and i like what i hear. any ideas or thoughts?

i would use the dog to hunt small game(rabbits,squirrel,pheasant... even turkey in the fall season) i know that beagles are good rabbit dogs, but not much else. i want something that will point, flush, and follow the trail of blood/feathers/fur as well as the trail of scent. any ideas?

I use 'Lawman' ammo made by 'Speer' for my G26. I was wondering if anyone else has or does and if so, how would you rate it? What is your preferred "cheap" 9mm ammo?

What is the best method of catching Jack Crevalle?
I need help coming up with a method of getting the fish to come to my bait.
I frequently fish the inlet of New Smyrna Beach, FL. Recently I have noticed very good size fish right under the very dock I stand on. The water is about 7ft deep. 20"+ groupers, sheepshead and 30"+ jacks.
The problem I have is, since fishing for them directly will cause the fish to wrap my line around a piling, I just cast out and hope the fish below me find their way to the baitI have out away from the pilings where they seem to hang around, with no luck.

I am using light tackle with power pro 20lb.
I use anything from live shrimp to rapla lures and gulp soft lures.
Live shrimp catch alot of rays and catfish, which I am sick of since they both have stinging barbs.
So, how do i get them to move out from under me and go to my bait 20-30 yards out?
If anyone knows Jack Crevalle's favorite food, that would help too!
Also, how do I properly set a hook?

Me and a couple of mates are hoping to go to Chamonix for a couple of days of sport climbing (we know too little about Lead, and have none of the requireed equipment). However my dad is very concerned about us going unsupervised (I am 16 turning 17 before the trip) if we are climbing a style we are not used too. Only top roping experience. We are all around 5c to 6a in grades (british - i think you make that 6c -7a in european grades...) at the mo which is pretty good I would say. So anyone got any info on sport climbing and any convincing argument I can use to persuade him!?!? I have gone through the obvious ones, and I respect his concern, but it is a little annoying!

I tried to take a bullet and fit it in to the end of the barrel but the bullet is too big!

if the bullet is too small then how does it come out?

I was going to add a rubber piece of tubing on to the end to see if it would increase the accuracy (I know it wont work) but I what would happen to the rubber tube when the bullet enters it?

I measured the end of the barrel and got rubber tubing of the same size.

I recently bought a Diamondback Coil EX mountain bike. It is a mid level priced bike, around $500. I didn't want to spend $1000 or more because I haven't ridden a mountain bike in 7-8 years and the bike I had before was a top of the line Wallmart bike...LOL...so this is officially my first real mountian bike. I bought it because there is a group of people at my church that go out riding every week and I want to join them. I was a BMXer from age 4 until I was in my 20's so I feel that mentality is going to be my first big obsticle. I went riding yesterday and I had some difficulty on the hills. I would gear down to the lowest gear on the steep hills and would be doing real good about 20-30 feet and then my wheel would spin. Going down hills I am hard on my brakes. Any advice on how to get better as a new mountain biker?

The number is engraved into the actual Whitetail deer statue and matches the number on the certificate of authenticity that comes in the box. Would also like to know a price for these statues. Only 500 were made and the mold was destroyed after production of the statues. Its a great Winchester Collectible item since it will never be reproduced.
