my wife's uncle caught one- said he had a bluegill on a light line, something like 8 lb test. as he was reeling it in, a tiger musky pounced on it. he claimed the musky didn't fight at all- apparently it didn't get hooked, and it wasn't afraid of anything- and it wasn't going to let go of the bluegill! the musky allowed itself to be slowly reeled in next to the boat, where he found that his net wasn't big enough, so he had to reach in with his hand and grab it under a gill. apparently, he got soaked pretty good but managed to hold on to it. the sad part of the story is that he put in in the fridge to get it stuffed the next day, but when he got home from work he found that his wife had cooked it! he said it didn't taste good.

Yes, I have caught those toothy critters, while bass fishing on Cave Run Lake in Ky. Think the biggest one was almost 38" long.
Kentucky is fortunate enough to have two lakes that have muskie in them....stocked of course, but they have been growing and doing very well.
The Lakes are; Cave Run Lake, near Morehead, Ky. & Green RIver Lake near Campbellsville, Ky.
They both have SM & LM bass as well. Green RIver Lake is where I caught my 6 lb SM a while back.

I used to catch them at quincy res. near denver, they stocked them a while back & they went off, over a period of several years the state record was broken there, last I heard they were over 45 pounds, I used to see them swimming around out there at 4 or 5 feet long, biggest I ever caught was 5 pounds or so but they can get very big. I took a buddy and he caught one and I about died laughin at him trying to unhook it without gettin all ripped up..........

I hooked one while bass fishing in Lake James NC , but I didnt get it in the boat . It fought good stripping line , I thought it was a huge bass till it jumped.
The state used to stock them in a few lakes in the NC mountains but people dont catch as many as they used to I am not sure if the state still is stocking them

Yeah, at Merritt Reservoir in Nebraska. It fought really hard and was one of the most fun catches I ever had.

NO :-(
But it is high on my list of things to do. Only toothy critters we have in my home state waters are Northern Pike and Walleye.
