NASCAR is incredibly boring, with a few moments of excitement. Soccer is the same way.

Some of today's shining sports stars are on track to surpassing the greats. The record books may hail the likes of Babe Ruth, Wayne Gretzky, Jack Nicklaus, and Michael Jordan. But we have Steve Nash, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, and Sidney Crosby to name a few.

I am interested in taking some fencing lessons (well, actually, to begin during the summer - just as a sport) but I don't know how to convince my parents that it is worth starting. Any ideas?

When a big sports playoffs comes to and end you often see the winning team wear t-shirts and/or caps commemorating their success, these are obviously printed before hand...now my question what do the losing team do with their t-shirts and caps? Not exactly the best of souvenirs is it?

I have been a coxin for my college mens rowing team this year. i'm the only girl, all the guys are like my brothers. (in the past on drunken nights I have kissed 3 of them) It's discouraged that the coxins and rowers have relationships or hook up for fear of someone quitting so u have 2 keep it cool.

The best rower on my team who's like my brother kissed me after a night out on friday and we did alot of kissing and talking until we fell asleep. It was perfect. He got to me that night.

Unlike the others he kept it a secret, no teammates knows. The problem is the kiss happened saturday at like 1:30 - 5:30 am and I see him every day at pratice and races but he hasn't made an attempt 2 hang out with me since. He is really serious about rowing though and I would NEVER EVER get in the way of that.

Think I should just drop it and going back like nothing happened, or wait for him to make his mind up. I just don't want to get 2 caught up in him and get my heart broken. What do u think?

It was never really big in the states with no true racing heroes to cheer for, until fairly recently (Lemond and Team 7-Eleven being at the forefront). But now, with all the Americans cheating, will the sport settle back into its quiet grave in the US?

I know for a fact that in Europe, where cycling was more popular, it was still considered a niche sport, one that would never take the place of soccer in the mind of the European sports fan. So, is cycling doomed across the globe? What will it take for the sport to hold itself in the public eye if it hasn't already completely dropped out?

You'll be watching a game and one of the guys will just rattle off something about the guy that made the last play was "third in the nation in third-down conversions back in '98 in his senior year playing for the Texas Tech Red Raiders under coach Billy Hackenschmidt" or something even weirder. Do they have a bunch of guys feeding them data through an earpiece, or does anyone actually have that kind of memory?

I am a HS freshman, and the Varsity cheerleading coach (my history teacher) wants me to try out next year, because they need petite flyers. However tumbling is required to make Varsity. I have never cheerleaded in my life. I take a tumbling class but i only practice backhandsprings a little because its a big class. Tryouts are in 3 months. I go to tumbling once a week. What do you think i should do? I mean i want to be on the team but i dont really want to be on JV (which i would probably make), for personal reasons (i dont get along with some of the cheerleaders). What can i practice to help improve my backhandspring at home besides bridges and handstands? Please help i need to make a decision! Thanks!

I have some friends in my dance class who play basketball and soccer, and I am in gymnastics classes, and dance classes, but I want to be in some sort of competitive sport. What kinds of competitive sports are there out there for girls?

2007-01-29 12:23:54 · 6 answers · asked by Anonymous

i can't do it, but i know it is very hard, but if you practice you grinds all the time nonstop and other rail tricks and practice grinding higher ledges or rails and grind rails or ledges off curves, stairs, or whatever than you could grind a handrail. but, once you can 50-50 grind a handrail, can you do other rail tricks on a handrail.

I have been cheering for 8 years and I am SICK or everyone saying cheer isn't a sport because we work just as if not harder then a lot of sports including football (thats right I said that) I just don't think that people appriciate the hard work we do. Especially competitive cheer which i do. Andn for those of you who don't think cheer is a sport: why is it on ESPN?
