no soccer is the american football, basketball and baseball combined for the rest of the world. Formula 1 is the NASCAR for the rest of the world.

I couldn't agree more with the last answer. Soccer in all of our favorite sports in America for the rest of the world. The passion you feel for your favorite sport, whether it is football, baseball or even curling, it is that way for soccer fans. Would you throw firecrackers and glass bottles at Derek Jeter from atop the Green Monster? Well, soccer fans do it ALL the time. How's that for passion.
