I'm a cheerleader myself, though some people don't consider it to be a sport. I believe it is but what are the actual qualifications to call cheerleading a "sport" and whether people should pay more attention to cheerleaders or not.

Come on, if you don't think golf is a sport then there is no way you should get to call NASCAR a sport.

What requirements are there for something to be considered a sport? I personally do not think golf is a sport where endurance, strength, agility are in much play. Skill is a huge factor but I just can't compare golf to football, soccer, boxing, hockey etc.

at my school, this is, like, a huge debate. i think that okay maybe it is a sport if your at a cheerleading competition, but when you're on the sidelines it is not. because your not there to practice it- your there to cheer on your school and motivate them to work hard. i mean, that's the only reason they even started cheerleading, right?

I am doing a report on England, and it would be wonderful to get a live primary source! (No, I'm not lazy, I would just like to hear it first-hand!) ;)

I have been going to a gym for a while. It keeps me fit but it is becoming repetetive. I am starting to feel like a hamster running in a wheel. I think gyms are an artificial product of modern society along with tinned food, mass media etc... i am now more attracted to real adrenaline-filled sports... skydiving, swimming, rockclimbing... but I don't have the time. What do you think ?

NOT BECAUSE THEY'RE GOOD BUT BECAUSE THEY'RE BAD.
My List (i only have room for 7)...
1. Terrell Owens - million dollar talent and a five-cent head.
2. Mike Tyson - reminds me of a mean version of Michael Jackson. This guy has so many issues.
3. Don King - destroyed an entire sport for years
4. Randy Moss - what happened to you, man? just shut up and play. You used to be an elite player, now you're a punch-line.
5. Todd Bertuzzi - never should have been let back in hockey after attacking Steve Moore and ruining his career.
6. David Beckham - let's face it, soccer will never amount to much in this country no matter if Pele, Beckham, Elvis and Jesus Christ played. So stay over in europe, enjoy being the best, and STOP saying it wasn't about the money, but about the kids. The kids might care for a few years but, really, they'll move on.
7. Chris Webber - over-rated since birth

I need some advice on how to get stronger with my bench pressing. I'm sound on my form, but I don't seem to be getting much stronger. I usually start out at an amount I can comfortably lift 10 reps and work up from there. How much weight should I add with each set? I can't seem to find a happy medium. Seems like I'm always adding too little or too much.

Also, which secondary muscles should I be working to help with the bench press. I know triceps are important. Are there any other muscles I should be working?

Thanks!

Thats my list their are other sports such as wrestling and track and field that they are very fit, but I just included the major sports. So, the question is, do you agree or disagree?

The reason I ask this is because I was flicking through channels on the tv and I found a channel with WWE wrestling. This is not a real sport and is rehearsed and scripted. I was amazed at the numbers of Adult Americans in the crowd cheering and booing like 6 year old kids at a pantomime. I used to like wrestling myself when I was 10 years old. I then stuck on the news and was amazed to see these same wrestlers performaing a show in front of American soldiers in Iraq. I would guess that most of these soldiers would be between the ages of 18-25 and these idiots were jumping around like 2 year olds also. Are these childish idiots the type of people who are supposed to preserve world peace? Is it me or are Americans thick and stupid?
