Im trying out for cheerleading....?

and i need some advice on what i need to do to make the team because i havnt cheered or done gymnastics since 3rd grade...ps out of all the girls on the squad only one knows how to do a backflip

I think every squad is different. I know when I was in high school a lot of it was how you interacted with the other girls on the squad, how peppy you are, how outgoing you are, how loud you are, how well you do the routines, and your tumbling/stunt ability. Try to be as friendly with the others as possible, including interacting with them during downtime and outside of practice. Try your best to master the routines. Work on tumbling and see how much you remember and see if you can do more (if you can take classes, go for it). Talk to girls on the squad now, or the coaches to see if they can give you any pointers. Most importantly, HAVE FUN! Good Luck!!!

Practice, practice, practice. Everyone trying out will be shown at least 3-5 cheers you can choose from. You will use 2-3 of them for your audition. Pick the ones that make you the most comfortable and confident. I cannot reiterate this enough: Practice your *** off! Make sure you're loud and always use your jazz hands! Spread your fingers out until it hurts! You will be nervous, everyone will be so don't sweat it! Walk in with your head held high and retain good posture at all times! Good luck and best wishes!

make up your own routine to WOW the coaches!!! they will be so amazed, they might just let you be on the team. beaides, do some awsome tricks , and look SEXY!!
