The reason I ask this is because I was flicking through channels on the tv and I found a channel with WWE wrestling. This is not a real sport and is rehearsed and scripted. I was amazed at the numbers of Adult Americans in the crowd cheering and booing like 6 year old kids at a pantomime. I used to like wrestling myself when I was 10 years old. I then stuck on the news and was amazed to see these same wrestlers performaing a show in front of American soldiers in Iraq. I would guess that most of these soldiers would be between the ages of 18-25 and these idiots were jumping around like 2 year olds also. Are these childish idiots the type of people who are supposed to preserve world peace? Is it me or are Americans thick and stupid?

I am American and I cannot stand the WWE. I thought it was funny when I was a kid, and I would say that the majority or other Americans are with me on this.
Usually all you see there are some white-trash hillbilly people, so don't judge us all by the WWE or our "president".

Besides it's just "entertainment" just like any other form of American TV garbage.

So, the WWE goes to Iraq and brings some entertainment, which, it is, to help American soldiers take thier minds off of imminent danger and death for a little while....what the hell's wrong with that??? What is wrong with having a little bit of fun (which you show so much disdain for)....or are you just SO mature that things like this are so far beneath you?

Perhaps a stiff collared, stuffed shirt cynic such as yourself should be put in an unfamiliar, dangerous surrounding where every day that goes by could be your last, where people would kill you as soon as look at you, and all you have to remind you of home is a memory, or photograph.....I'd be willing to bet a dollar that something of familiarity from wherever it is that you called home would definitely bring some excitement.....whatever it might be....but don't show too much enthusiasm---it might make someone think you're thick and stupid.

Time out! The WWE does not bill itself as a sport. They bill themselves as entertainment. There is a small percentage of the American population who even watches this and an even smaller percentage that thinks this is real. Plus do you have any idea how popular this stuff is in Europe and Asia? Those people treat these men and women like huge celebrities. So the whole globe is fueling the WWE.

So to generalize that all Americans (298,444,215 population) are stupid and thick is being extremely naive. If there were 10,000,000 who watch this stuff, thats only a 3.35% of all Americans, and 10,000,000 is a gross overstatement.

In fact their viewers this past week were just 2.9 million for their Smackdown show. Which is not even 1% of all Americans.

It's entertainment.. Most people realize it isn't real..

Have you ever watched a movie to entertain yourself? Especially an action movie! You know movies aren't real right? It's just actors, similiar to the wrestlers. If you have watched a movie and enjoyed it then you must be as thick and stupid.

I personally don't like wrestling but I understand it's a form of entertainment. You watch actors in a live action-like movie.. And they do some incredible stunts I might add.. Things I couldn't/wouldn't do.

Most Americans don't watch that stuff. And it's obvious that you're only using it as an excuse to spew hate towards Americans. They're not any more thick and stupid than the Europeans that riot like hysterical morons every time their team loses a football game.

Don't get too frustrated. Less than 1% of Americans watch this garbage. Unfortuately, the show uses Patriotism and good old fashioned red neck mentality to draw these poor fools into believing it is real. The producers of this crap call it "entertainment" and that is even more funny.

it's you. Our troops face death every hour of the day so whatever form of fun and laughter they care to enjoy is ok in my book. We know all about staged and scripted! We also recognize immature ignorance that lumps all people into one group. As for the nationality of viewers I am sure plenty are not American. But in American we have freedom of choice in what we watch on TV. Isn't life grand!!!

Are all Americans idiots? I'm willing to bet the $3,000 your family makes a year that a huge numbers of people where you live is dying to have the WWE come there or better yet come back there. You are so full of sh!t!

Not all Americans watch what is WWE entertainment.

Not everyone in the US likes professional wrestling -- just ask the majority of women here. But to each his own. It's not for me to make a value judgment on their intellect, perhaps just marvel over their attraction to something I find bizarre.

I am not a fan of wrestling. However, people who watch it do know it's scripted. But we watch shows like "CSI" or "Law & Order" or "Scrubs" knowing they are fake too. It's just entertainment to some people.
