I am a coach of high school team, and every year I make some cds to play in between innings for our fans... I have about 30-40 songs already, but I am always looking for more great songs that our fans can enjoy...

Old, New, and Classics... give me your best choices of songs that you love to hear when your at a baseball game...

Thanks...

haha i think the coach of my brother's team used to let them choose the songs. so they'd have a wide variety of oldies, hip hop, and someone even chose the song on the beginning of lion king! a lot of people thought that was great. parents dont usually like rap though, so keep that in mind.
celebration, the locomotion, i will survive, baby got back, i love rock n' roll, Born to be Wild, Stayin' Alive, Help by Beatles, Yellow Submarine, haha these are all fun songs that everyone likes... if you want to be more modern than there's always the hiphop or rock option too!! --such as Swing Life Away, How to Save a Life, Land of Confusion, 45, I Dare You, there's lots more out there! mostly upbeat songs are the best, then the players and crowd get pumped up!

I've had to mix these tapes before also. I am an announcer for a Little League regional tournament and know you have to be sure to listen to the songs first. Some wise-guy slipped an innocent sounding song in on us once and it was fine until they came to a particular line of the song. These are safe.

ROCK SONGS:

"Rock and Roll High School" - by The Ramones

"The Game" - by Motorhead (was also used by a pro wrestler called "Triple H"

"Rock This Town" - by The Stray Cats

"Surrender" - by Cheap Trick

"Roam" - by The B-52's

"Love Shack" - by The B-52's

"Won't Back Down" - by Tom Petty

COUNTRY SONGS:

"Get Rhythm" - by Johnny Cash

"I've Been Everywhere" - by Johnny Cash

"Suspicious Minds" - the Dwight Yoakam version

"Little Sister" - the Dwight Yoakam version

"Foggy Mountain Breakdown" - banjo picking song done by about everyone

R/B SONGS:

"Word Up" - by Cameo

"Brick House" - by The Commodores

Just some suggestions!
