No if anything theres not enough emphasis. Sport provides so many oppurtunities for differnt people providing jobs, stress relief, enjoyment.

Without sport that would take a lot of pleasure out of many peoles lives. And as for the olympics this has been an ancient tradition that provides entertainment worldwide as TV viewing figures show.

Should we all take emphasis of sport and let the nation increase the obesity rate.

Of course they do, problem we have in this country is that we glorify our players before an event and then slaughter them afterwards because they don't live up to our expectations.We dont spend enough money on facilities and coaches to appeal to the masses and lets face it we dont treat our very few world class sports people with the respect they deserve
