I'd like to know the team, year and record from a few different eras:
1. The modern 82 game schedule.
2. Before the 82 game schedule was implemented.
3. Any other eras before the 82 game schedule.
4. Any other seasons that you think are record-worthy.
Please try to answer at least the first two. Thank you.

Unlike last season, Jose Theodore has been good, and Budaj so so at best.
Do they continue to split time, or use Theodore as the starter and Budaj as his backup unless things change?

So the Sens are winning big in the regular season again...who cares! Win the Stanley Cup and then you can be talked about in the same circles as Colorado, New Jersey and Detroit (i.e. elite teams that won when it counted). Until then, it's just noise from the Sens...

I know I am setting myself up here for a lot of joke answers, but seriously, what do you recommend? My first idea is for them to get rid of McCabe!

I think so. I remember watching a BlueJackets player take a puck to their eye in pre-game warm ups. He got stitches and was on the ice for opening face off. Do you think a pro baseball or football player would start after receiving stitches to their head or play bruised. The "kid" skated with a broken foot the last month of last season. Thinner pads than football players, getting smashed into the boards. If that is not tough, I don't know what is.

Is it? He's been plagued with injuries throughout his career; the most potentially dangerous being concussions, yet he continued. I've never been a fan of Eric Lindros; even when he was traded to the Leafs. During crucial moments, he'd draw a penalty. One could almost call it themselves. In my opinion he didn't contribute much to the team. Then off to Dallas he went. One season goes by, and now there's strong speculation that he will announce his retirement this coming Thursday. Goodbye Eric, enjoy your retirement...that's a retirement most of us will never get to enjoy.

what would happen if in hockey a team shoots the puck in the net and it appears to be a goal but the referee says that its not a goal and the play continues and the same team scores again and this time the referee says that its a goal and during the break the referee calls for an instant replay and it appears that the first shot was also a goal. Would it count as 1 goal or 2 goals?

IN the NHL today it is not as rough and not as much fun to watch. The players are too greedy to do anything. Its kinda boring.

Barry Melrose took heat for his statements recently about the new Devils arena- specifically, it's location.

The link- http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=AoQrbJOdRlI18rjJPa4l5Ft7vLYF?slug=ap-melroseremarks&prov=ap&type=lgns

I have posted questions on here recently because I am heading to the new arena this week and I could not find a decent place in the Newark area- I went and read reviews from people who have stayed at the hotels- cars stolen-robberies-hookers-crackheads etc. It is not an area I wanted to stay.
Ironically, I am staying in East Rutherford, close to the Devil's old home. How stupid is that? Put a brand new state of the art arena where people do not want to venture.
Oh, I understand their stupid line of thought- bring people to that area. Well, people don't want to go. Very stupid thought process.
Also, WTF is Barry Melrose apoligizing for? Telling the truth? He and the mayor may tour the area- it would be funny if they got robbed. Stupid.

Simon Gamache has been put on waivers. Yep, the guy who was fighting for a spot for the past few weeks, only to lose it to Bell (legally, what can you do?). Personally, I thought Gamache has done well and earned a spot on the team or at least be sent back down to the Marlies. He has played a hell of a lot better than most of the regulars.

So right now, in my mind, Ferguson just lets him go for nothing. Or....is there something about how waivers works that I don't know and haven't factored in? Strategically saving a bit of cap space perhaps? Something along those lines?
