PuckDat, I owe you....after you put Raycroft, it forced me to re-visit Dryden's stats, and it was his 3rd season he sat out for Law School, not the 2nd. So......I changed it :)

Number two is Raycroft because there was a strike the year after.
Technically, Raycroft did not play in the next NHL season because it was cancelled.
LITY's Dryden answer though is a better one. Dryden sat out a year after winning the Calder because he wasn't happy with his contract offer and fulfilled his obligations to the bar while he was off.

NOT TRUE!!! lol, check it out; Raycroft is incorrect. Raycroft won the Calder Trophy, and DID play in the next NHL season, the next NHL season was 05-06! There was no season in the lockout, so that can't count! Here I was spending 10 minutes trying to find someone who didn't play the next season, and you meant Raycroft? lol, if you said the next YEAR, then he would count, but not the next season. Raycroft did play the next NHL season.
