Tressel blew the game. The Buckeyes have an offensive line that averages 300lbs-310lbs against a defensive line that averages 275lbs-280lbs. Why the hell did Antonio Pittman only run the ball 9 times??? You neutralize speed by running right at it. When you pass the ball, you speed the game up against a team that has more speed. I can't figure it out.

Everyone knows that the SEC is noted for teams with great team speed and BIG teams are bigger and more physical. Florida is not a better team than Ohio State, but Tennessee is a better team than Penn State and Arkansas is a better team than Wisconsin but Penn State and Wisconsin won because they played BIG10 style football and exploited the size advantage up front. They ran the ball down their throats and beat up a faster, but smaller and less physical defense.

In short, Tressel coached a horrible game. It wasn't the layoff, it wasn't losing Ginn, all these things are excuses. Regardless of the sorry a job Tressel did in coaching

I just noticed something really interesting - in all of bowl game / national championship game history, Ohio State has played SEC teams eight times including tonight's game against Florida - AND OHIO STATE HAS LOST EVERY SINGLE TIME! Hmmm... does this make anyone besides me wonder about Ohio State and the Big 10 being OVERRATED and the SEC teams being underrated?

I cannot believe what some of my Buckeye brethren are saying , I have already read , excuses about the layoff , excuses about Florida injuring Ginn Jr. on purpose bad calls , c'mon people , stop it ! we got our A-S-S WHIPPED plain and simple , Troy Smith and the whole team did not show up , hey thats why the games are played and Florida was the better team , Congratulations to them for a great job , and c'mon fellow Buckeye fans no more excuses , just congratulate and take the verbal beating that is on the way , because you know if we would have won we would be laying into them as well , and one last thing , damn those guys were fast !!

I guess he's over-rated after all, lmao! Now we see who really deserved the Heisman, Brady Quinn. He won the All-American player of the year and the award for best QB, he had far better stats than Smith did, I think Smith winning the Heisman had a lot to do with the media promoting black QB's. They wanted him to win because he's black and because he grew up in the ghetto in a poor broken home; sympathy and racial bias go a long way I guess. They thought he gave them the best shot at a black QB winning the Heisman and the National Championship in the same year, GUESS NOT! LMAO! I guess the Gators showed the Buckeyes and Smith which conference is the best conference in the NCAA, that would be the SEC. Come on everyone, follow after me, OVER-RATED, OVER-RATED, OVER-RATED!

3 Superbowl Rings and 2 MVPs. Does it every year with receivers Bellichek finds sitting at some bus stop with Work for Food signs. Simply the biggest of the big game performers, masterful when the stakes are highest. A cool demeanor under pressure reminiscent of Joe Montana.
To top it off, he's paved his way to the championship in playoff trouncings of his biggest rival (to remain unmentioned).

As a former SEC starting player (UT Vols) I have LONG known that the Big 10 and Pac 10 are the TWO MOST OVERRATED CONFERENCES IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL! Look at it - this year, WHO DID OSU PLAY THAT WAS WORTH A FLIP BESIDES MICHIGAN? AND MICHIGAN IS NO FLORIDA! It's easy to have a GREAT-LOOKING season when your schedule is a dishrag! Look at the SEC - EVERY YEAR at LEAST FIVE TEAMS are possible National Champions! And EVERY ONE OF THEM IS CONSTANTLY UNDERRATED! So, take your little marijuana-looking helmet stickers, all your phony overrated crap, and carry yourselves back to Buckeyeland and work up another schedule for next year with even crummier teams - like Podunk State Beauty College (I'm surprised this school wasn't on this year's OSU footabll schedule!) I mean seriously people. Florida won the NC, and that's great, I love that OSU finally got knocked off. However, how about those Broncos? They may be in the WAC, which is a sub-par conference, but they still went undefeated. Then they go into Glendale against Oklahoma, who is supposed to destroy Boise State with Peterson, and they lose, because of the cunning from the Broncos coaching staff. Give them some love guys, really. They deserve it.
