NO...
There are way too many reasons to get into this. But i will tell you this paying College athletes would be the worst move in history of sports EVER! If we start paying college athletes where will we draw the line between the pros and the ameteurs?
Will all College athletes get paid or just the ones from revenue producing sports?
You are right that the Atheltes do play a huge role in generating millions of dollars in revenue for some teams, but at the same time they are essentially getting paid...
Free college education
Free books
Free Meals
Bowl Gifts
and pleanty of other special treatment that regular students do not get

No why? do other college students get paid, other college students that don't play college football or aren't "good enough" to play college football all they can get is scholarships, so in fairness all the football players should get is scholarships in all of those div I schools, it's like they place more importance on football players than people who are studying to become doctors. Who would you want saving your life, an NFL football player or a trained doctor with years of experience. So I do agree college football brings in lot's of money, but the fact that the sports players get treated like gods by the schools, when just the average students get treated like crap compared to them, it brings down the morale. They can pay players in the NFL because well everybody on the team makes money, and it is ALL about football.

I don't think college football players should get paid. If you think about it most of them are on some kind of scholarship towards their tuition. Many people are in serious debt after attending nationally accredited colleges. The scholarships are like giving the players money anyways. And if u look at it when they play for a skool with a prestige football program they get their names out and NFL scouts look at them to possibly pay them to play.

I don't think they should. Take players like Randy Moss. Awesome and spectacular at college level, but soon as the moolah comes into effect, he starts taking a dive, won't throw a block, afraid of getting hurt.
it seems once the cash is shown, performance goes down hill. That is why I like watching college as opposed to professional. You will see bigger hits more often.
Now on the other hand, if you paid them, college or professional, for performance, i believe both levels would go up in the excitement factor. Big Hit=Big Payday. Touchdown=Bonus. Sack=Dinner for two at Taco Bell. LOL.

NO, absolutely not. College is about the learning, not the sports. While in college you are a professional student, not a professional athelete.
Plus there is no need for them to get paid when the college gives them scholarships, a free education, and other benefits like the free use of practice and training facilities.

Most of them get "paper" jobs thru the school anyway. Kind of like, Ok he showed up..or he didnt! Doesnt matter in most programs. Sure, the school makes money off them, which goes into improving facilities and more scholarships, or atleast it should! But a college athlete is an amateur, and amateurs dont get paid! A full scholarship is worth $40K to $50k a year, plenty enough for an athlete who is also getting (or should be) an education he or she can use to make money after they have graduated!

NO! College football players are getting a FREE education. They (usually) have full scholarships to whatever university they're attending, and paying them is already done indirectly. They may even receive stipends. So, no they shouldn't get "paid."

No. Plain and simple. This is not the NFL, and that's what makes college football great. They don't play for money, they play for glory. I think NFL players salaries should ALL be equal, regardless of position, with bonuses for TEAM achievements rather than individual ones, and bring glory back to the NFL.

absolutely not. They're fortunate enough that the school gives them a free ride and they get a diploma after 4 years of doing almost no school work (at most colleges). Even if they dont make the nfl they still get a free education.
