I need to know why all the OSU fans in this forum suddenly need a playoff system after they got their rears handed to them last night. All we heard for 51 days was how good they were and how easily they would win their Nat'l Championship. Some people forget that Ohio State STILL HAS NOT beaten an SEC team in a bowl game. Give us all of your excuses go ahead and get them off your chest, you were overhyped and simply beaten by a better team.

I hope to get some well thought out answers dealing with philosophy of the need and not just because your team deserves a shot.

I don’t think other sports with playoff systems crown a champion but don’t really crown “the best” team. Often the team that wins the playoffs, but many times the best team doesn’t.

We are at that time of the year where people are going crazy because NCAA Football needs a playoff to crown the champion. I don’t really think it needs it. Are we just so use to having a playoff system in other sports that we have a hard time dealing with the concept of a sport so widely followed doesn’t have one?

LSU moved to number 3 behind Ohio State at #2 and Florida at #1. I'm sorry Boise State but you only made it to #6. The SEC had 6 teams finishing in the top 25.

Since the quarter back is given so much more protection in hits blows to the head and late hits wouldn't the running back have a bigger advantage if he lined up as the quarter back also would he be granted the same protections if he took the direct snap with the quarterback on the fiels.

Can someone explain to me how the ref's ruled that touchdown when everyone could clearly see the guy's knees were down? I saw the same reply everyone else did, but I'm just not seeing it.

Yeah, yeah, I know, you're going to say something like I'm a sore looser - I get it. But really though, how was that a touchdown?

To quote something I said in an answer on here just after the B(C)S match-ups were released:

"I would have to laugh at the NCAA if Ohio St. gets upset and Boise St. beats Oklahoma, leading to the fact that the only undefeated team in the nation wouldn't have won the National Championship."

The way Ohio St. played tonight, Boise St. probably would have put (at least) 60 on the board. Boise St. was the team that should have been playing Ohio St. tonight. Most people don't realize that even in non-BCS conferences it's very tough to go undefeated.
