Doesn't it make more sense for the NCAA to have finished all their bowl games before the NFL playoffs start? For example, this national championship bowl is not as interesting since everyone is into the NFL playoffs right now. If it had been played BEFORE Wild Card weekend, more people would care.

First he was suposedly dating Jessica Simpson during his 4-1 start. Then when the Cowboys began fading at the end of the season and Romo looked pathetic, he downsized from a singer at the top of the charts to Carrie Underwood, a winner of American Idol. Now that he's embarrased himself by fumbling a long snap and under and over throwing receivers during the playoff game and showed that he's not the savior that all of the Cowboy fans would have had you believe, will he downsize again and start dating the Karaoke Queen at Billy Bob's Tavern?

You should quit your jobs (if you have one) and just bet on football games. Because they way you all talk, you never had a doubt. Also, most of you seem to be college football experts, so maybe you can replace the guys at ESPN if the whole gambling thing doesn't work out for you.

Statistically : (which before the game was very important...it is how Florida got to the game) Ohio State ranks #1 in the nation
Game wise: Ohio State and Florida are tied with 1 loss each
Title wise: Florida has it in title only
The only fair way to really decide is to do a play off game... this would not happen every year.. just when there are tied situations as in this year..or just follow NFL guidelines on the road to superbowl...then title would be fair

I don't see how Ohio State could still finish number two in the AP poll. I thought the AP poll was not obligated to vote in any specific order. Anyone with a brain could figure out that both LSU and USC would have destroyed OSU so how can OSU still be number 2. Are the AP writersthat stupid?

I think it is absolute b.s

They beat the Big 12 Champion in the bright lights on primetime.

Even though Florida is good (though they do have 1 loss) they played a team that was the leader of a now evident weak Big 10 conference.

This system is so flawed it is turning me away from college football.

All year they've been downing FL about how they don't deserve a title shot, and how there is no way they could even challenge OSU. Well guess what FL EMBARASSED OSU, and the only thing the media can say is, well FL should play Boise State! Why not say FL is the Number 1 team PERIOD! They've proved it, and yet no credit is given. Why are they so biased to every team as long as they're not in the SEC?

The media fooled people into thinking that Ohio State was the best team in the country. Their predictions and coverage was so bias toward OSU it made me sick. I don't predict football games for a living but I called this lopsided blowout from day one. If SEC teams are not going to be handed the respect that they deserve, they will DEMAND it. I think that Kirk Herbstreet needs to be fired for being an ego-tystical bias prick.
