I think it is absolute b.s

They beat the Big 12 Champion in the bright lights on primetime.

Even though Florida is good (though they do have 1 loss) they played a team that was the leader of a now evident weak Big 10 conference.

This system is so flawed it is turning me away from college football.

As known, they have a shot, yet want some issues to artwork of their prefer. No undefeated communities in a BCS convention, and Georgia to bypass 10-2 or better. If that happens, they have a stable shot. of path they'd desire to run the table, too. If this is a loopy season like 2007, i think of this is the 365 days. interior the 60s and 70s, all and sundry mentioned Penn State could not play with the huge dogs. It took a objective line stand with the aid of Alabama in a championship 365 days to beat them, and then human beings found out Penn State replaced into the real deal. Boise State is dealing with the comparable undertaking. Non BCS colleges have beat a a million loss Alabama team, a a million or 2 loss Oklahoma team in bowl video games, and BSU beat an fairly stable Virginia Tech team final season and a Rose Bowl Oregon team the 365 days formerly during the generic season. ultimately, human beings will understand that Boise State is a real stable soccer team.

IMO they shouldhave never even tried to develop a system to pick a national champion. There are just not enough games played in the season to allow ample opportunity to play outside of your conference. That's where you show how good you are against nationwide opponents.

The whole championship thing was drummed up by sponsors, tv, and the NCAA who only had $$$$$$$$$ signs floating across their eyes. There was never any intention to create a fair system.

the NCAA should be made non-profit just like the players who make the money for them.

For those wanting a playoff system. If you were a senior who is hoping to be a draft pick would you want to play a bunch of games to decide a national champion for FREE????? All of these kids are just glad they made it through the season uninjured so they still remain a 'sweet deal' for a professional team. An NCAA title is NOT the end of their road. One injury and it could be.

It's all about the money.....not the best team.

The Bcs sucks obviously. There should be either a 8 or 16 team playoff, however under the current system, lets face it, Boise would have had trouble winning more than 1 gm. They really played nobody all year and then beat a down oklahoma team.

Well the person holding back the Playoff system is in charge of the Big 10. I would gladly pit Boise State against FL any day. Although I don't think it would be a game.

Boise HAD its shot to wind up #1 or 2 in the final BCS poll and wind up in the Nat'l Champ Game, but they play in such a weak conference there is no way they would have reached 1 or 2.

Yes Compare the schedules of Boise St to Florida.Playing Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, LSU on a weekly basis to whoever Boise St plays. There is no comparison. Boise St would have a losing record in the great SEC.

Boise State is the champion of college football because they are the only undefeated team.

And those who say they didn't play anybody don't know football. Boise beat three Top-25 teams this season.

Total agreement with all you have to say.

However, Boise St should be number one by virtue of unbeaten season and win over Sooners. BCS voting and ranking is flawed and without merit.

Need nat'l. playoff system........see the big boys tumble.

Get real. Boise played nobody all year except Oklahoma. I really enjoyed their victory but I think that they ought to be thrilled to be ranked #5. When they change conferences or beef up their schedule we will see how good they are.
