What is the difference between the rose bowl, orange and bsc championship bowl?

It used to be the the top teams from each conference would match up together and play in only a few bowls. The different bowls were for the different conferences. For example the Rose Bowl was for the #1 Pac-10 team and the #1 Big 10 team. But the bowls became so successful that they started taking lots of teams. So now you have many teams from the big conferences and some from the smaller ones all making bowls. Also, the BSC was created to make sure the best teams play each other, sometimes regardless of conferences.

Its all about money. If a company has so much money, they can get a bowl game named after them. Some of them have been around for quite some time like the Rose and Orange bowl for example. But now you have the PapaJohns.com Bowl....now give me a break. Its just getting rediculous.
The Rose Bowl sends usually the winner of the Big 10 and Pac 10.(unless the winner goes to the Championship game, the #2 goes)
But now there's a bowl game for just about every team out there.

The differences lie in who's eligible to play in certain bowls and the fact that the five BCS bowls are the highest-paying bowls and share the distinction on a rotating basis of hosting the national championship game.

They need all the bowls to flush out all that crap that's taught thru the school year....
As far as I know there are no real differences in the bowls, other than locations/playoffs.
