There's nothing they could have done differently. Florida is just TOO FAST for a Big Ten school to keep up with. Sorry.
ps. OSU only beat PATHETIC Illinois by 7!

There are a couple of reasons. Firstly, the Gators had experience. Secondly, Corey Brewer shut down Ron Lewis. Much is made about Conley and Oden, but Lewis was averaging 20something a game til the final. Brewer's underpublicized defense held Lewis in check just as it shut down Arron Afflalo of UCLA(for the second time in the Final Four). Lastly, Ohio State had shown a tendency to let inferior teams stay in games with them and to allow opponents to get sizable leads on them in the tournament before they would inevitably rally to win, as in the Tennessee and Xavier games. Eventually, Ohio State ran into a Florida team that was too good to fall behind on, period. Florida beat Ohio State because they wanted it more and knew that you have to play hard and play well for 40 minutes to win a championship. Ohio State won many games playing mediocre for periods of time and then playing a great last 10 minutes, fifteen minutes etcetera. Florida deserves a lot of credit for their remarkable feat of repeating as champs.

Ohio State was running on the press hype which means that they beleived their own press. I feeling is that they looked at the Gators ugly SEC wins and could not compensate for the pass defense or the front 4 runners. I think that they buckled under the intensity of smash mouth football that was taught by Ron Zook there beleived coach that recruited these kids. I m certain that they were playing for more than the championship. RESPECT.
Ask Vince Young! ASk the Miami Heat! And Ask the Colts this year. What you saw last night was sheer determination.

OSU strengths: they have greg oden for basketball, they are good at beating overrated teams (mich, nd last year) to get ratings, they are good at being sissy schedulers
OSU weaknesses: the football team
they screwed up in: showing up instead of getting lost in the snowstorm in Denver... lol
how could they have won: kidnapping Chris Leak, Tim Tebow, Andre Caldwell, Percy Harvin, Dallas Baker, etc...
What should've been different: Big Ten shouldn't end the season so early that hurt OSU so it might've ended 41-24 instead of 41-14...
osu is overrated

what brand of football is that ? the slow brand ? look at the penalties in the game last night. it's hard to admit, I know, but your team just got beaten up and exposed last night. most people outside of your conference will agree that OH State's schedule was not nearly as strong as Florida's. I mean the SEC had 6 teams finish in the top 25, 3 in the top 10. MOre than any other conference.

I knew Ohio would have lost to florida even when they were wondering who was going to play them either michigan or florida. I was like Ohio would definately lose to Florida cause hell Florida had the hardest schedule. Though I'm for Texas so hopefully next year for Texas should be good. Colt Mcoy is great .\../

Both are great teams...too bad that Ohio State wasn't playing to their potential last night. They had a great season all the way to the end!!

The SEC plays its own brand of football, with a different set of standards of behavior, academic requirements, sportsmanship etc. I along with most Big Ten fans, prefer another brand.

The Big Ten was (is) overrated. Clearly the SEC was the best conference with the best teams in it, top to bottom. Thanks.
