Overrated, yes. Not extremely, they deserved to be the in the national championship game... the real problem here was how underrated Florida was. Florida was my preseason pick to win the National Championship, and Chris Leak was my prediction for the MVP way back in August. Nobody gave them credit...

I will agree with the guy who said Ohio wasn't overrated, Florida was underrated. Florida was never given a chance, it was going to be hands down Ohio. Ohio got cocky, Florida kept their mouths shut and pulled off a win. Pulled off isn't really the right words. Florida showed up to the game and Ohio didn't.

It doesn't change the fact that Ohio was undefeated. It takes alot to do that and I think they deserve credit where credit is due. However, all that matters now is that Florida won the National Championship and made it look easy. Never, did I see Florida faulter.....people want to bring up the 51 days Ohio had without a game. That is bull, how many days are off between seasons?? The players are still counted on to atleast "show" for the game. And I am sorry Ohio didn't show for this game. They thought it was going to be a cakewalk and it was the exact opposite but by the time they woke up it was too late to even get a rhythm to come close to beating us.

It was a great game. I loved seeing my Gators dominate. However, I think I would have liked to see more of a matched game. I would have liked to get even more nervous.

All of that doesn't even matter though now. The points speak and the Gators are National Champions. Can't wait till the malls open so I can go get my man a hat and me a shirt......maybe a new tag for my truck!!!

BTW, I have always been a diehard Gator fan even when they sucked big time in the 80's!!! Love being on top!

No. The 2005 USC Trojans take that honor. Not that the 2006 Ohio State Buckeyes aren't an overrated team, but in the ESPN College Football Encyclopedia, Kirk Herbstreit rated the 2005 USC Trojans as the best team ever, before they played a single game. Last year, EVERYONE was on the USC train. This year, it wasn't so much so with Ohio State. Don't get me wrong; there was a huge amount of hype about Ohio State this year, but much toned down after last year's USC letdown.

Ohio State definetly didn't show up, but the Big Ten is still 2-1 vs. the SEC in this year's bowls.

NO, Ohio State had an outstanding season and one bad game. Florida, however, was clearly underrated. They played a hell of a game and they earned the championship. Congrats Gators.

of direction your opinion (and that of every person who stocks it) is as valueless as your understanding is non-existant. in case you believe you studied 10-2 OSU this three hundred and sixty 5 days, you would possibly want to comprehend They beat both NW & unwell and the right communities contained in the convention. they're 19 -0 adverse to non-BCS colleges. they're 3-3 of their very last 6 BCS video games. in consumer-friendly words 4 diverse communities have received the NC more effective lately With 2 of very last 3 NC wins, your shot at FL is even more effective -------. You seem a sad, unhappy little human being.

They lost the game overrated not really. The best of teams have played bad games. Maybe a poor game plan. They looked really nervous out there.

As far as 2006...No.. Notre Dame is, but Ohio State is either a close second or they just had a really bad night! On with a playoff system!
