Boise State is a true Cinderella story, the Gonzaga of football. Chris Petersen is an exceptionally talented coach who used a group of local boys to win over a long established power, Oklahoma. Hats off to the Broncos!

First of all, they DID play at least one ranked team, Oregon State, who if I remember correctly beat the heck out of another well respected team. They also played a number of very good teams nobody outside of the West knows much about (Hawaii and Nevada). They have trouble building a stronger schedule because no one wants a piece of them in non-conference play.
And if you get a chance, watch the Oklahoma game again, beginning to end. All anyone is going to remember is the trick plays at the end. But the truth is they played smash mouth football throughout the whole game with a team no one outside of Idaho thought they stood a chance against. They simply outplayed Oklahoma until the end of the fourth quarter. Only then did they pull out the special playbook and worked not one but THREE unbelievable plays in all or nothing situations.

Urban Meyer is probably the one person in the world that can sympathize with Boise State, as he was in the EXACT position 2 years ago at Utah. It really is sad that some kids will never, ever have an opportunity to win a championship, regardless of how well their team plays, just because they chose to go to the wrong school.

they have had a great run in the WAC, this is the 2d worst convention in D1. i do no longer think of they have the recruiting skill, fan base or the centers to warrant national attention, or maybe a fit in a BCS convention. Whupping up on Idaho, New Mexico State, and Utah St each year is plenty diverse than attempting to get previous 8 or extra BCS convention communities, in spite of in the event that they could get previous Oklahoma 2 years in the past. they are an staggering occasion of what a mid significant ought to realize, yet lack the credentials communities like Lousiville had to pass as much as national exposure... If there's a mid significant available best now that should develop right into a great time software, its BYU

Boise State played who? Sacramento State, Oregon State, Wyoming, Hawaiʻi , Utah, Louisiana Tech , New Mexico State, Idaho, Fresno State, San Jose State, Utah State, Nevada and Oklahoma? Come on, that's is the weakest schedule of any other BCS team. Period.

No doubt they deserve credit...undefeated is a hell of a thing to do for any school...and the coaching staff as some balls to pull a few plays like that out the book...but i still don't think they should get part of the title...i just cant see them competing with teams such *** Florida, OSU, Michigan, USC, LSU.

i'm not prepared to personally declare that FL is the best team out there.. yes they are one of the best.. but Boise State went undefeated, uncluding several wins against ranked opponents..
also, much like Florida, Louisville was also an amazing team. only one loss, which was a tough road loss to a ranked team..

Yeah they distroyed the #7 Sooners. And they rolled over the Rainbow Warriors. lol They didn't play a ranked team all year and they needed OT to beat the #7 team.
