For those of you that think this was his first bad game... take a look at the Illinois game stats, after you've done that go check where Illinois is rated.

No you shouldn't take away his Heisman. He had a great season. Everybody has a bad game.

NO just because they lost tonight does not mean that Troy Smith should not have won the Heismen. He is still an excellent football player and had an AMAZING season. He just did not play well tonight...

Also they never would have made it to the BCS title if he did not play the way he did all season long.

It wasn't just Troy Smith that played bad tonight it was the entire TEAM. You can't put the blame all on troy smith. It was the rest of the team and the coaches as well as Troy Smith that lost the game tonight.

No, the Heismen is granted for how good of a season you had and Smiths season was stellar. Everyone has a bad game and tonight, in front of a national audience, happened to be his. This is only the third game he has lost in three years as a starter. That should tell you something about his skill and talent.

Nope. Troy Smith deserves the Heisman. He played just about as well as most Heisman award winners in the National Championship.

Did Peyton Manning get stripped of his MVP when they didn't get anywhere in the playoffs? No.

It's the same kind of situation. The Heisman is for the regular season, and a Bowl Game is equal to a playoff/championship game which is post regular season play. Reggie Bush didn't get his Heisman taken away and he is accused of getting illegal perks, AND he did that botched lateral in the Rose Bowl last year for the BCS Championship.

No he can keep it. That goes to show. The Heismen Award should be given away after all the college games been played.

Troy Smith is great. He was unquestionably the best player hands down in college football this past season!

No, Smith had a great Season, just a bad bowl against a better team.

no, but what they should do is not award the Heisman trophy till after the National championship game is over, I think people say there is a Heisman trophy jinx., if there isn't a jinx then Smith sure started one

How does that make any logical sense? He won it fairly and just because he had one bad game does not mean anyone should even think about taking it away from him, were it even possible.
