There is NO doubt that Florida should be ranked #1 then Ohio State at #2. USC lost to UCLA and Oregon State, and I dont care if they handled Michigan, they dont deserve to be ranked #1. Now on Boise State, I know they are undefeated and they had this oh so spectacular game against Oklahoma, big f***in woop. They didnt play any ranked teams all year they only beat Wyoming, Hawaii, and San Jose State by 7. They played NO ONE, Oklahoma put up 42 points on them, OSU or Florida would have put 70 on them, there defense is terrible and the only reason their offense is any good is because they play teams with bad defenses. So all these people who think Boise State should be ranked #1 just sit down and think about it, Florida is in the SEC one of if not the hardest conference in the nation. Boise State is in the WAC. I am not dogging BSU, they did beat OU and I give them props they should be ranked in the top 10 but being ranked #1 should not even be thought about, Sorry for all the people trying to jump on the BSU bandwagon.

Yeah and plus Michigan already beat Wisconsin so that wouldn't work too well. Oh and didn't USC fall to lowly UCLA, however, since they beat Michigan they are gods. Boise State beat one good team in that of Oklahoma. Ohio State topped off two #2 teams in Texas and Michigan, plus 24 Penn State and a 13 Iowa, and lost one game (even though it was ugly) Michigan beat #2 Notre Dame, dominated in the majority of their games, fell to the hands of the #1 team Ohio State by 3, and losses a second to a #8 USC Florida deserves #1 after this victory tonight LSU lost to Florida and Auburn, had a fluff schedule, but did beat out Tennessee and Arkansas, dominates Notre Dame (which Michigan and USC both did already this year) and you say they deserve a national title shot???? Wisconsin was a good team and deserves in the top 5. Think before you rank. Boise is alright, not fantastic, but alright. USC is very dominate "most" of the time but has had too many close calls with subpar teams and lost twice in the season by a little better than average teams.

LSU TIGERS should be the national champs...they beat the Irish by the same score. HOWEVER, Florida is the best team in the nation because they beat the #1 Ohio State. USC is crap compared to them dont even put them in the same category. ALSO, the Boise State game was almost as good as the Cal vs Stanford game, so I mean entertainment-wise, that was the national-championship game for me because the Ohio Vs Florida game was a big time bore.

You all just dont get it. BSU came and beat Oklahoma State, so you say "Well, Oklahoma wasn't that good this year." You say that Boise had a weak schedule, Oregon State isn't a second rate school by any means. By the way, you have to play in your own conference and schedule out of conference games with those willing to play you. So far the Big Schools wont chance a loss to BSU and mess up their records and a run at a National Championship. They also want more money than the current BSU stadium produces, so we are doing a 36 million dollar expansion to our stadium to attract bigger schools.
The bottom line is the reason our schedule was weaker than the larger conferences is that YOU WOULDN'T PLAY US FOR WHATEVER REASON. We are willing to schedule more of your teams if you will play us. Now don't be Scared, we are just the lowly WAC, it should be a walk in the park for you. Yea, right, you keep telling yourself that while we take you apart.
We need a college football playoff for the National Championship, end of story. GO BRONCOS!

Auburn has more of a stake in the Championship than USC or Boise State.
Boise State had a bs schedule, which included Sacramento State, Oregon State, Wyoming, Hawaiʻi , Utah, Louisiana Tech , New Mexico State, Idaho, Fresno State, San Jose State, Utah State, Nevada and Oklahoma. Come on, that's is the weakest schedule of any other BCS team. Period.
USC played a decent game against michigan, who barely lost to OSU, who got CRUSHED by Florida, who lost to Auburn.
The point is, Florida is the champ. USC doesn't deserve it. Boise State doesn't deserve it. Auburn doesn't even really deserve it. The fact is, Florida won when it mattered. End of story.

The AP poll has it right, except Auburn may be a slot or two underrated at 9. I don't think Boise St. could manage less than 3 losses if they had to play an SEC schedule, though. Bowl games and especially theoretical match-ups don't take into account the toll of getting banged up week to week. Almost the same could be said for the Big 10.

Hands down it should be Boise State. Perhaps if they make a big enough stink about it will cause them to finally agree to a playoff system. Let's just hope its not two teams or four or even eight.
A real playoff would involve 16 teams.
Conference champions from the major conferences would get automatic bids.
The rest would be chosen by a BCS type selection committee.
The major bowls could sponsor the 13 playoff games and or the conference championship games.

Boise State because they are the only undefeated team. Until last night, I didn't think there was a real need for a playoff system because I was confident there would be an undefeated team claiming the title. Now there is an undefeated team without the title and that's just wrong.

Since the game between Florida and Ohio State is the Bowl Championship game, I would assume Florida is the national champion. Another reason why we need a real playoff system instead of this BCS nonsense.

Florida is the National Champion by virtue of winning the National Championship. I would rank Boise State second followed by Ohio State and Michigan in that order.
