Ive been looking at mountain bikes online...but when they list it as a 26" bike or whatever, what does that mean? where are they getting that measurement from? Also, what size would you recommend for a 6'00" with a 32 inseam? Ive read on other sites that i would need a 20" - 22", but that seems tiny because my freestyle bike is 20", but then another site says I would need a large bike, which they say is 26"....im confused now, the only local place to buy a bike is the department stores...wal-mart and such....

I am planning to buy one Trek Race, some Aluminum series. How good are they? I know most of the racer uses Italian bikes or European brand. Is there anyone use Trek at all?

i have BG socks and they are comfortable, but are they worth $14? my hands get numb when im racing (mainly my right hand), maybe because i have a death grip on the bars a lot of the time, but i was considering buying the BG Radiator gloves. they look cool and they have a lot of padding. i have very thin racing grips so they dont provide much comfort.
do the BG products really enhance the blood flow like Spec says they will? i dont want to waste another $40 on gloves...

I need a bike to get to work and back. It's about a 5 to 10 mile ride. Would like a bike that's good for the road and mild hills and can also go off road if need to. (looks nice too)
Price doesn't matter.

I like to road bike. I recently moved to a rural area where people are inconsiderate and often do not secure their dogs within their own yard. I've been chased a number of times and was wondering what the best way, chemicals, or other to defend myself from these evil beasts.

I am a 42 year-old woman. I am considering riding my bike to work each day. Ninety percent of the journey is very quiet rural blacktop that has little traffic and few cars. I am a bit afraid, because I will be pretty vulnerable by myself out there. What things can I do to help prevent myself from being assaulted by someone or hit by a car? Thanks!

I'm wanting to buy a bicycle to get in better shape. I am considering the Trek Navigator 3.0. I also like the looks of the Schwinn Deluxe 7 Cruiser but afraid it may be to heavy and bulky. I'd like any suggestions.
