Hi, I am currently training for road cycling, I would like to race next season. I am still pretty new at the sport, even though I've always been cycling and always been a cycling fan. I am having problem going up hills ... any tips? Or is it just that ... the more hills I'll cycle, the easyer it will get? Thanks

I recently purchased a brand new Mongoose bike. When I started to ride it, the pedal came out. It was looser than the other one anyway, and it just fell off. It doesn't appear to be damaged, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it back on.

I just purchased a new Trek 1000, and I have about 70 miles on it right now. The LBS that I purchased it from did not tell me to come back for any maintenance, but someone told me that I should take it in after 50 miles to get things checked out? Should I do this?

Looking for the all around best hydro braking system for mountain biking. Lightest weight, best performing, offering most adjustability, and most comfortable to use.

I was considering taken apart my front and rear derailleur to clean it, but that was madness because I would never be able to put it together again…
How should I clean it while its still on the bike?
Should I use DEGREASER or AEROSOL LUBE?
I want to remove the dirt and grime so I can lube up, however I don’t mind if it doesn’t look brand new…
Thanks for your time!

I was riding my bike and the chain jammed between the smallest sprocket in the back and the frame, and I popped it back in. Now, when i go to shift from the middle sprocket in the front (2nd) to the biggest one (3rd), the chain makes a grinding noise, and I have to press the shifter hard for it to shift up. The only time that this doesn't happen is when I'm riding faster than about 20 MPH.

The Bike's a Trek 4100

I'm going to start doing triathlons. I don't really know much about road bikes, or tri bikes. I don't want to spend too much money, since I am in college...and don't have much to spend.

I have owned several mountain bikes, but this is completely new to me.
