Any websites, suggestions, comments or concerns? I don't mind assembling it myself especially if its going to save me a few hundred.

www.mtbr.com is a great resource!

However, you should go into a bike shop and get fitted for a bike. Once you are fit, tell the bike shop guys how you want to ride, where, how often, etc and how much you'd like to spend. They can make the best recommendations for a bike in your size that meets your needs. In most cases if you buy a bike from a shop that's not already built there won't be an assembly charge since you bought it from them. However, having trained technicians assemble your bike is always a better idea anyway because they will double check everything and help make sure everything fits you.

Good luck!

Check out www.mtbr.com. The forums and product reviews have more information than you'll need.
