If anything, people who are taller are riding larger bikes and so can get more leverage/power out of every pedalstroke.
However, people who are very tall (over 6'1"ish) may have a lot of trouble finding bikes that fit them properly. Riding a bike that's too small will cause inefficient riding and may make them be slower/get tired faster.

Actually the reason might be that shorter people who have shorter legs can move their leg much faster because the radius of the circle that their leg makes when moving the bicycle is shorter. But shorter people could balance themselves much better.... But there is no scientific reason why sould tall people have a hard time riding.

I don't think there is a scientific proof of that, and if height matters in speed, I would think it's the other way (taller guys going faster than shorter ones).

Miguel Indurain is an example of a very tall champion. Look him up.They call him "Big Mig".
While I don't have scholarly support for my statement, I remember reading that how wide a front you present to the wind is more important than how high.

I think that it is all about power to weight ratios. The height of a person should be irrelevant.

No way, you just need to get a bike big enough so you don't have to raise the seat crazy high. i'm 6'1" and have no trouble ripping it up.
