I'd say we'd still be better with our youth and we're gonna win the division. As we've learned money doesnt buy championships and the Sox wont win one with Johan.

LETS GO YANKEES

I will be traveling to Minute Maid Park to attend some games. I was wondering if there are any designated (and fun) tailgating lots. I will be attending the games Fri-Sun in May.

I love the game of baseball. Wooden bats, the strategy, summertime, everything around it. I love MLB.

I hate greed.

MLB players, how much $$$ do you need?? Johan Santana is a perfect example. Alex Rodriguez also. What was wrong with the Twins offer? Jesus I am getting sick of MLB and the dominance of payrolls. Who agrees that we need a salary cap in baseball??

How would you feel if the there were a giant International Baseball League like the MLB but bigger with over 200 teams from around the globe play to make it to a International World Series. I know that sounds kind of far fetched but it does sound pretty cool.

Would you rather hit over .500+ over a 20 year career or would you rather have hit over 100+ HR ever season for 20 season ending a career with over 2000 HR. Forget as if steroids ever existed.

Here's the scenario: Let's say the Red Sox and Yankees are playing and the Sox have 6 points and the Yankees have 4 points after 8 innings. If the Yankees bat at the top of the 9th (that means they go first, right?) and they are unable to score. Then is the game considered over right then or do the Red Sox still get to go up to bat even though thre is no way for the Yankees to score again?.. I dont know much about baseball, I just want to know more about how the game works.

Do you think the MLB should have a salary cap?

Yes, I'm a Yankees fan, but I still think baseball should have a salary cap. All this small market, big market, that keeps Torii Hunter, Johan Santana and possibly Joe Nathan kills the Twins. There's always a select group who can sign a big free agent. Smaller teams have to go for a steal, and once those grow up, they're gone too.

So my question, salary cap or not?

What do you think of Hank Steinbrenner on this comment about the trading for Johan:

"I'm not going to be played against the Red Sox. That's not something I'll do. That's not something the Yankees should ever do, and that's I think what they're trying to do now,"

Carlos Beltran - a career .280 hitter who strikes out over 100 times a season, and steals only about 17 bases a year, and is injured a lot.

or

Dontrelle Willis - Decent numbers, but not close to what you would call a solid #1 pitcher
