Well...if you look at '98 Barry and then '99 Barry it looks awfully suspicious at how much he bulked up in such a short amount of time...so yes I think he did.

This is the truth that the average fan just can't pony up and accept.---The irony is that McGwire was the one caught red-handed in '98 with andro and the fans who cry now about steroid supplements didn't do anything to McGwire then. Message sent. Bonds and Co. did take stuff themselves afterwards because the fans (who now want to pretend that they didn't know what was going on in '98) didn't care. They wanted a huge record to fall. They didn't care if you were shooting something or ingesting something into yourself during Mac and Sosa's big chase. Just break the record. OK, Bonds didn't have to take anything after The Chase, but apparently he did. That doesn't mean these flip flopping fans shouldn't be held accountable for lack of backlash to begin with. Mac was caught red-handed and he got a free pass by the fans---even on the road!! Bonds and every other player who started taking stuff afterwards must have been thinking at the time, "Look at this guy, McGwire. They catch him in possession of this stuff, and the fans don't seem to care. You know what, if the fans don't make a big deal about it, let's go do it ourselves. They want records fallen no matter how we do it? They don't care what substances we use to help assist us? That's what they want? That's what they'll get." Now why are the fans so shocked? Sure the players need accountability thrown at them along with MLB, but, like it or not, the fans need to be held accountable too (not necessarily in legal terms) .
If you're a parent, and one of your kids breaks the law and gets arrested and you do nothing in regards to punishing them, guess what? You'd better not act surprised when one of the others breaks the law, too. You were supposed to send a message to the other kids by punishing the first one. Since you didn't, you should still NOT be held responsible? Bull.
The same thing pertains to this whole steroids mess. Why don't we all admit it? We the fans didn't help things out very much by brushing Mac's situation under the rug in '98. And until we admit our major part in this whole thing, we shouldn't be pinning all the blame on MLB and the players. They may make more money than God, but WE the fans by giving them the free pass in '98 helped contribute to the continued escalation in salaries via steroid use. Just remember that.
Go ahead, vote me down with negative points here. You apparently can't handle the "other" truth if you're going to ignore me.
One more thing, don't say that you hate Bonds and steroids because it's a negative influence on our kids. Most fans DON'T care about kids as much as they claim. Otherwise, they'd join me in saying "If the government is going to indict Bonds on obstruction of justice, how come they couldn't get Cardinal Bernard Law indicted as well?"---Cardinal Law covered up something that blows away what Bonds did, as far as being a negative influence on kids is concerned.
Peace out.

I'm sure he took steroids... along with about 2/3 of the rest of the league.
People were able to forgive and forget with Shawne Merriman in football. We might not have seen the last of Bonds if he can beat the indictment.

I KNOW he took steroids... He admitted it to a grand jury.
"Bonds told a U.S. grand jury that he used undetectable steroids known as "the cream" and "the clear," which he received from personal trainer Greg Anderson during the 2003 season." - ESPN
