There are many out there that love to hate a winner. It is by far the Yankees who have more fans and more haters than any other sports team.

The Most successful are the most hated and the most loved ones. The Yankees, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Montreal Canadiens, Boston Celtics, LA Lakers, are the examples. The Yankees, however, top that list.
The only exception is Tiger Woods. Everyone loves him. You can even find Roger Federer haters, but not Tiger Woods'. Even if you do, then they are no more than Band Wagon Lefty fans.

That's a toughy being that I dislike both. Actually in baseball it's a tie between the yankees and the red sox, there are other teams out there besides these 2! Football is definetly the patriots, I use to like them but now they're just a bunch of cheaters.

I'm curious as to why the word "hate" always has to be used in describing peoples feelings about sports teams in general. Don't you think the words envy or jealousy are more accurate?
The words "hate" and "suck" are so over used in this website, it's frankly unbelievable. When people use these words, what they are really saying is, "I wish my team was as good or had the same success as either the Yankees or the Patriots". Why not just say that?
To answer your question, I'd have to say the Yankees are envied more than any other franchise in sports. The Patriots don't even come close the historical success as the Yankees.
More people are envious and jealous of the Yankees than any team in sports history. Those who truly "hate" have serious issues which have nothing to do with sports.

It has to be the Yankees...there wasn't a large amount of Patriots hating until this year...not to say there wasn't any but the Patriots hating has increased exponentially this year...while there is a lot of hate towards the Yankees every year and has been for a long time.

The Patriots. As they should be. People dislike the Yankees because they spend a ton of money to put a winning team on the field. It is not the Yankees fault that there is not a salary cap and have the money to spend. There are plenty of teams in MLB that can afford to spend the money the Yankees do, but their owners are cheap as hell. People should hate those owners for not spending the money.
The Patriots should be disliked because they are pompous *******. Yes they will probably go undefeated, but when a coach is a jerk like Belichick is, the whole teams get a bad rap. Oh and they are from the Boston area.

I would say the Yankees. You have to remember that the Pats haven't always been good. Not that the Yankees are always on top, but they have won the World Series more than any other team and the owner is proud of the fact that he can buy any team he wants.

Yankees. You either love them or hate them. That's why attendance at every ballpark goes through the roof when the Yanks are in town.

thats a good question, but i think it has to be the pats right now, because the bosox are quickly overtaking the yanks as most hated baseball team, and the pats have a distinct advantage over all other nfl teams for most hated
