I've been a rockies fan since i was about 5 and i dont remember them making the World Series ever! I was a huge fan of Larry Walker and Tod Helton but not so much now of Larry since he got traded but Tod is still up there, anyways im curious of how many of the groupies who follow the good teams actually think the rockies win? (Note: I HATE THOSE GROUPIES! :P)

I know that if a baserunner is hit by a batted ball he is out and the batter is given a single. But what happens if a runner is standing on a base when the ball hits him? Is he still out, or what? Does the base make him safe? If so how is the play scored?

The Rockies will have 8 days off, if the Indians win tomorrow they will have 5 days off. It seems like MLB and the networks don't care how it will affect the teams all they care about are the ratings. I know it is all about money, but that many days off what will it do to the teams? Is that fair to the teams? They are used to playing on a regular basis. Detroit had a similar situation last year, did that affect their play or not? If the AL series goes 7 games does the AL team have an advantage or not? What are your thoughts on this?

the Boston Red Sox do not make it to the World Series? Can you imagine the scrambling they would need to do to find information on teams other than the Yankees or Sox? What if the Pats do not make it to the Super Bowl? Would they even bother covering these two events? Considering ESPN's bases everything around those 3 teams....I personally believe the World Series and Super Bowl would be relegated to a small blurb on the bottom of the front page if either of those teams failed to make it.

ESPN is pathetic!

Manny being Manny is played out. Call him what he is...stupid. Sure a smart hitter but a stupid human being. This is a guy who left a check for $105,000 in a boot in Arlington Texas in 1998 and told the people who notified him to "just go ahead and have it". This is a guy who sends a Cleveland bat boy to the local Wendy's before the game with his car and to pay with the $8,500.00 cash in the glove box. Not a magic mind by any account. His pose actually disrespected Boston fans. It showed he is more concerned about his Homerun then your win. Look pretty and lose is better then winning to him. This guys hasn't even wanted to be in Boston for most of his career in Boston-so that shouldn't shock anyone. AND NOT ALL PLAYERS WATCH THEIR SHOTS-that's a lie. I see players all the time put their heads down and round the bases. If you are Sabathia, do you give him one high and tight at some point in the game on Thursday?

At one point, Yogi Berra said "I'd like to thank everybody who made this night necessary" . When did he say this ? Does anybody know what month and day did he say it ?

You guys are seriously pathetic. You act as if coming back down 3 to 1 is no big deal, because it's been done against the Yankees three years ago. Three years ago, only three of the current Red Sox on the team now, were on it then. Three years ago, the Red Sox never gave up two innings in two different games, with 7+ runs. Three years ago, the Red Sox didn't have to completely dominate two pitchers who will finish in the Top 4 for Cy Young. The offense is miserable; you don't honestly think Dustin Pedroia and JD Drew are just gonna pick it up with the snap of a finger, the pitching will automatically be lights out and win, do you? Coming back down 3 to 1 has been done 10 times in over 100 years, and you fans act as if it'll be a breeze.
